Am i the only one who still thinks it is ridiculous how much damage they do with their shitty rifles?
They are horribly unbalanced. Lancemates ignore them and they just broke one of my lance mates arms who had NO enemy anywhere near him while i put him at guard duty near a chokepoint.
He literally had his back to them it seems since as i looked at him why the f*#@ he lost his god damn arm and took so much damage, his entire back was broken.
I am not saying they shouldn't do no damage at all, but ffs. One infantry can down a mech in a few minutes with a ass old rifle?
I know infantry in Battletech if anything used Inferno Missiles to at least annoy mechs, but this is just borderline a joke how much damage they do. Especially in a few missions where there are like 10 of them running around you at once. They are far scarier than any mech trying to shoot me with his PPC and THAT is just ridiculous. Nothign else.
Either they need to tone down the damage to a acceptable level or at least enable lancemates to shoot or actively squash them. Like this it is just way too annoying that you can't have a god damn second without having to take care of them or actually get too much damage from them. Especially since they always seem to be behind you. -
If you ever wanted to use this mod but wished the Infantry had better AI, didn't damage your Mechs or blended in with the game better then you
should give these three mods a look.
Infantry No Damage
Infantry No Color
Infantry No Expense -
is it a good mod?

This mod appears twice in my Load order?? Why?
I've looked and as far as I know, I don't have any double installs of this mod. -
I'm the only person on here who wants to play as infantry and try not to get squashed... I miss mechassault 2.
[Edit: It would be awesome to fight infantry on infantry while AI mechs fight each other and ignore you. Will never have that mod though.]-
Maybe work it so you can fight as an infantryman after you eject from your wrecked Mech?
-
I always thought having a first person death cam while you mech falls, would be so cool. and then cimb out of you mech, trying to get to a possible pickup...
-
Yes! That would be such a cool way to die. Maybe get the inferno rocket launcher or something and try to make a desperate last stand.

If this is from PGI, this should really be a toggable option in the game settings, not a separate mod

I highly recommend you do NOT get this. There are so many problems with it and it breaks the game sometimes. 1, your lancemates will ignore all infantry. 2, there are missions that require you to kill all enemies in a pretty large area, and it's basically impossible to find all the infantry in the time allotted since 3, they're invisible past like 100m.
they're just implemented like s***. They spawn in groups of 1, and sit around and shoot you until you zap them. It might seem cool at first, but it gets very annoying very fast. Real infantry in the lore ran from mechs and only dared engage them with inferno rockets. If the mod just added civilians that ran away from you brigador style, it would have been so much better. -
I really like this mod, it is a shame they had to limit so many aspect of it to make it as universally viable to all computers as possible. The good news is PGI provided us all we need to remove those limitations.

I can not for the life of me get these infantry to spawn. I've tried loading the mod last and loading the most first. What am I doing wrong?

I think this is awesome. I've never seen a game studio upload official 'mods', lol. I mean, updates and expansions are mods (additions), but I like this. Cool effort. Some of the comments make me wary though, like hunting down every last enemy and looking for these little tiny people, etc. I downloaded it though. I might try it soon. Thanks!
