"Lore-based Mech variants" was made for vanilla only and is not compatible with YAML, if you use YAML use "Lore-based Mech Variants YAML-Edition" instead and DO NOT install it on top of the YAML-Edition.

The "Unofficial Mechwarrior V Patch" is out, which covers a bunch of fixes for the vanilla game.

Is there a way to remove the additional paint schemes contained in this mod?

I narrowed down an issue of paints added by this mod, breaking the drone view & mechlab view. I checked around and found it was this mod, and this mod, so now I have the landmine of paint schemes I can apply on mechs for some reason, that just break them. It's not too bad a break, but you can no longer switch to third person which is... problematic.

I don't understand PAK's so I am uncertain how I would remove paint from either files but, it's a bit annoying to deal with...

No, you cannot remove paint schemes and you shouldn't use "Mech Varity". "Mech Varity" wasn't updated for three years and is completely incompatible with the current version of the game.

That is unfortunate. I removed Mech Variety since I noticed it overlapped with this mod, (I incidentally met this through YAML before realizing you had a vanilla version) but I really wish there was a way to expunge the paint schemes from the game as they cause camera errors. Thank you for the reply.

Could MechFixs add missile hatch and claw animation in the future? I download a hatch animation mod but is conflict with Mechfixs.
Hope we can have both DHS fix and hatch animation at same time.
    Thank you.

I don't have the hatch doors for the Mechs, which means I had to make them from scratch. In the end: too much work for little gain, but if you point me at the mod, I'll look into making a patch.

Just a heads up, I am not seeing Wasps or Stingers anywhere.  I did a House Marik start, so the region of space may be an influence, but from my understanding those little guys were everywhere.  I'll continue to look into it on my own but I wanted to let you know something may be up, it may be quicker to track down on your side.

I do see plenty of Hornets and Valkyries, and I've seen Thugs too, and the other variants the mod adds are present in stores as rare mechs, so the mod is mostly working, and new mechs are working, it may just be a problem with the wasps, stingers, and possibly wyverns, i haven't seen any of those either but they aren't as common.

Never mind I am an idiot they are separate mods.

Is it just me?  I feel I have mechs missing in cold storage following October 25 patch/update.  Can anyone confirm?

I saw the comments below about Mackie, would be really cool to see it in new versions.
Anyway, this mod is awesome, and thank you that it works without any yamls, dude.

Out of the blue question here, but would you perhaps be planning to add the Mackie and its variants at some point? Its probably one of my absolute favorite mechs in the franchise, and arguably the most important since it's the very first one ever made in-universe. Clan Invasion has it, but it requires YAML now, which I don't use. It'd be great to stomp around in the absolutely most outdated mech and kicking Kuritan butt with it.

Does mech fixes work for all base game mechs, or just the ones added by the core mod?

Mechfixes works with all vanilla Mechs and can even be used without the main mod.

I don't use YAML so I find this mod to be a godsend. Is it going to be updated with more variants? I'm actually wondering whether you're going to add more like Warhammer IIC.

Thanks, but this mod only covers Inner Sphere Mechs and Variants that were released around the timeframe the vanilla game is set in, meaning mid 3050's tops.

Can I add the mod  to an ongoing campaign/career or do I have to start a new game?

It would be super awesome if you could do an optional version without the new Mechs like the Atlas II, Thug etc., just with variants of vanilla Mechs. I think the 3d icons don't match well with the 2d icons of the original game. I like the Griffin Mech and there are some good variants in your mod.

I have to second this. They look out of place and that breaks immersion for me.
