Can you add an option that has a list of songs you only want to listen to? And also that it allows one song per level, I don't like that it chooses them randomly, thank you.
Thank you so much for making this. No offense to PGI's music director, but it just doesn't have quite the same groove as the classics.
I only have one request:
The music for missions is great, but the mechlab music (or any menu between missions) seems to be limited to the intro tracks of previous games. I kind of get what you were going for (something like the MW4 mechlab had), but there are so few it just gets way too repetitive (especially for people like me that spend a lot of time in mechlab). I'm using the new dawn one because i really like the remix to the older songs, but I think the same problem might exist with all versions?
Is there anything that can be done to expand the variety of in-menu/mechlab music? If you can do that, it would be pretty much perfect.
I came here to basically make this exact post so I'll just add that I'm also not a fan of having the old cutscene audio playing in the mechlab/dropship. The sfx and voices just make it really awkward. If there isn't other music from MW2 that would fit it better I'd honestly be fine with just the default music.
Otherwise I love the mod so thanks a lot for putting it together! I played the core version of MW2 a lot back in the 90's and hearing that music again in 5 has definitely improved my experience.
This is the only thing that keeps me from using this mod thw whole time to be honest :D
I would suggest using "Back Door" from mech warrior 2 mercenaries for the menu and everything not in battle. That was what the old mw2 music mod used and it has great mech tinkering vibes.
Amazing pack, but for some reason the music volume slider only works in main menu. During a mission music is always 100%. Not a big deal, but maybe someone has a suggestion?
Thank you so much for this mod ! I would like to edit it so I can keep some of the tracks in the game and replace the ones I don't like with the tracks from MW2, but I'm not a modder. How to proceed ? Thank you again for your work :)
Ohhh no there isn't a way I can do that, if I did I'd have to make a completely custom mod, if you want, I can do it it for you for in the future if you can pay me, I just can't right now with IRL shiz going on atm
Yes, I just haven't been able to get around to updating all my mods, when I'm done with the uziel and belial for my mechassault mechs, I am going to take a break from my mechs to update all of my mods
While MW2 is my all time favourite, I have to say not all the tracks fit MW5. MW2 had plenty of missions where you had to 'toy' with the enemy (sneak about and do surgical strikes from a distance) to complete an objective. I feel in MW5, you should use only the adrenaline-pumping tracks because it's more combat-oriented.
The bigger issue is, however, that the volumes of the tracks are inconsistent. Some are quiet, some are loud. You should apply MP3Gain or something to get their volumes to the same level. I prefer to have the music a bit loud - effects and betty in this game suck anyway.
Out of curiosity, are the Timothy Seals originals from A New Dawn i.e. Bred for War included as well, or just the MW2 covers? Just looking to see if I can get that itch scratched again as the previous music mod I used seems like it is no longer compatible with the most recent DLC.
Glad to have this either way though. MW5's original soundtrack is pretty lacking imo. Thanks for this!
Yea Timothy Seals New Dawn album is available as a separate download along with all the other soundtrack albums that you can download separately or all together
