This worked great for the Main game but it is not working for the expansions I add the zzz_upatch.pk3 to mainta for spearhead added the resolution lines in the unnamedsoldier.cfg and newconfig.cfg and i'm getting a really zoomed in menu screen that I can't even use the mouse on I've also tried "not" putting the zzz_upatch.pk3 in the mainta because the instructions are not very clear about that, I've read all the comments and tried pretty much everything at this point.. is there anything I am missing? (GOG Warchest version)
So forget all that... I miss a comment from 71M07HY "I had to go into the property settings of the .exe file and in the compatibility tab, I needed to go into "Change high DPI settings" and tick "Override high DPI scaling behaviour"
The main game did not have this issue, thanks for the Mod H3llBaron !
Indeed I forgot to add some important files for expansions. zzz_upatch.pk3 is not needed on mainta or maintt, it will be automatically applied to expansions from main folder. Now proper 16:9 files for Spearhead and Breakthrough are included. Also, read new instructions in Readme file.
Встановлення: скопіюйте та вставте в папку "main" папку sound (перезапишіть, коли буде запропоновано), autoexec і zzz_upatch.pk3. (для роздільності 16:9 подивіться всередині папки з такою назвою)
Google Translation: "Installation: copy and paste into the "main" folder the sound folder (overwrite when prompted), autoexec and zzz_upatch.pk3. (for 16:9 resolution look inside the folder with that name)"
Hey, I've followed the instructions for basic install and it works just fine in Allied Assault. It does not work in either expansion. I have the EA app Warchest, and none of the three main folders have a configs folder, therefore no "unnamedsoldier.cfg" file. I've also tried adding the autoexec file as well as adding the resolution lines into that file, but it still does not work.
So does this work with the expansions also? I copied the files in the respective folders ,but when I try to start the expansions, the game just keeps going in the taskbar,it minimizes,I can hear the menu ,but can't bring the game up.
I don't know why,but the expanions just won't work, with this ,the game just goes in the taskbar, but with a vanilla game it runs without a hitch. Can you upload how your game folder looks, where the mod files are etc ?
Mine is like anyone else's installation of Warchest. You only need to put inside to the proper folder (just like in the pack) the pk3 files. You just need to install the whole patch on Warchest. If something goes wrong delete your cfg file. I never had problems with my little patch.
I ended up having the same problem but figured it out.
"All files get copied to "Main" for Allied Assault
Expansions: Only .pk3 file gets copied to "MainTA" Only .pk3 file gets copied to "MainTT" DO NOT COPY THE AUTOEXEC OR OTHER FILES (Sounds folder MAY be OK but havent tried it yet)
Run each expansion once. Go to configs in their respectful folder and there should be a newly created "unnamedsoldier.cfg", copy & paste the seta information from the autoexec into these config files under the seta section along with your desired resolution settings. Save. Both expansions should now work with adjusted resolution as well as the update.pk3!
If you have weird onscreen text issues, set seta developer to "0" in all 3 configs!"
installing the pk3 in MainTT broke the first mission in Breakthrough, when the tank hits the mine, the dude never gets up from the car to check on it, so the mission never progresses
Allied Assault seems to be working just as intended, but the expansions do not have widescreen or ultra settings.
GoG Version Warchest Files in "Main" copied over to the games Main folder, as was the resolution fix and autoexec (which was edited with suggested resolution added).
Other note, and this may have been in the original game but its been so long... Slow server occasionally pops up at the bottom of the screen on AA (obviously, I'm playing single player), and in breakthough, text appears by subtitles saying something like "Allies NPC 11(0), Axis NPC 0(15)" - any clue?
Thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out! All files get copied to "Main" for Allied Assault

I included widescreen fixes for main game and expansion packs. Yes, developer command must be "0" if you see text during gameplay, but this could disable the distant max level of detail for geometry of maps.
Hi i am not sure if it is because of mod but i have strange black lines in menu and in locations looks like skybox lines. I played Origin Warchest two years ago and i didnt have that problem.
Apologies for necro'ing this post, but I got a problem with the patch. Even after following the Readme files for just dragging and dropping the files where they need to be. My game's image is cut off. I'm using a monitor with a 16:10 aspect ratio at 2560x1600. Even changing the seta r_customheight and customwidth to match my screen's resolution gives me the same issue. I've even went into the property settings and disabled fullscreen optimizations
Scratch that. I've found out that I need to go into the property settings of the .exe file and in the compatibility tab, I needed to go into "Change high DPI settings" and tick "Override high DPI scaling behaviour"

Should I bother with this if I want to use your mod : https://www.moddb.com/mods/medal-of-honor-community-launcher ?
Also what do you think of this https://www.moddb.com/mods/hi-res-realism-texture-mod ?
Thank you
