oh btw how about bring back the classic tradition of having aquaglow/ lazurite/ etc jewels from mining like the good ole' days of Monster Hunter? I mean f*#@ this simplified dumbed down s#*! by capcom ryozo!
Hey, the free title update 1 just released, and while I think every single other mod that I have seems to work (model swaps, retextures or audio mods), every single mod that I have from you seems to not work currently.
I tried installing any single one of them at a time, but so far all of them (Gathering revamp, argosy trading mod, classic recipes bombs, decreased extra quest rewards, decreased quest monster rewards, less random battle shiny drops, no supply items) which I tried cause the game to get stuck loading at the title splash screen. I can't tell if I'm doing a step wrong, or if the update actually broke them.
I do have a few other of your mods too, but I didn't try them individually to see if they worked or not, but the ones I listed more or less don't let me get into the main menu screen.
But again, I don't know for 100% sure what the cause is, and as this seems to affect a larger amount of mods I didn't want to make a bug report about it.
Is it mazbe possible to get them all in one ultimate "hard-mod" with a funktion to select and disable the seperate funktions? This would maybe be easier and more stable in term of not getting bugs/crashes?
And you could also work and keep updating one mod instead of 10 =) just an idea ...
Unfortunately, since I'm directly editing parts of the game files, it wouldn't be as simple as "merging it into one mod"--as I'd still have to modifying the files directly. I could make a compilation mod so people don't have to download different files, but I'd probably wait until the game stops updating so I don't have to update a mod that requires a bunch of different other mods to update as well. Configuration would also require scripting, which is different from what I'm doing; I'm not 100% if I'm doing could be directly replicated with what current scripting tools are out there--or if it is, it would probably take a long time to set up in the first place
It seems like it might depend on what's updated for what breaks; a new area was added in TU1, which is what broke the Gathering Mod, and new quests were added, breaking the No Supply Items mod, as the files I modified in those mods had things changed or added to them, so if you used the old version it would cause a CTD or other misbehavior. The Enhanced Argosy Trade had new enemy scrolls take the spots of previous empty blank spaces with TU1 and I have a feeling further title updates will do the same, so I might have to replace lesser useful items instead of simply adding items
I appreciate you trying to help out, though! It's more a matter of how the files work and my current skillset than anything else at the moment. Updates can be a bit of a double-edged blade when it comes to modding; it can add new features that open up lots of possibilities for modders, but also break lots of pre-existing mods and possibilities
LOVE this Mod, exactly like it was in older Games so that the game dont throw your whole box full of materials, thank you so much! Your time was worth it.
