Guys please install the Remove Color Grading LUT main file, OR the one by Remoe or chen2239389326! I noticed only few people seem to have downloaded it. You need it to get the same look as my images. Also, even if you do not like my reshade, removing the LUT from the game easily improves the visuals of every location. SO you can use it with other reshades if you like.

Hi, Just wondering if I can just install it through the fluffy mod manager instead of using reshade? Because I haven't used reshade yet.

Sorry you cant, as all the files really just have to be placed in the game folder where the MonsterHunterRise.exe file is located. Using fluffy would put everything inside the natives folder and that wouldnt work at all.

It's just gray, very washed out, tried all three LUT removers. If I turn off the lighroom effects in reshade then it's not gray anymore

Hey, just uploaded update 11.0. I (hopefully) fixed the too washed out look by changing the way I desaturated the colors. Its relatively more vibrant than version 10.0. Lemme know what you think!

Im not sure what im doing wrong. no matter what LUT remover i use i cant tell a difference between any of them, and additionally the game just looks washed out and not as colorful as your pictures.

Hey, 1) if you check remoe's version here https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterrise/mods/31?tab=files, he has images of what you can expect from the removing the LUT, its really subtle and you might not really notice the change, but it removes the game's fake tints from each location. Try to check your Monster Hunter Rise\natives\STM\stage folder, and see if there are folders like m01, com_tent_naibu, v01, and if there are, its installed properly.

      2) And yeah the images provided are actually from version 8-9, but ive since changed the shaders a little bit and im currently tweaking the reflective bumpmapping to be less washed out. Expect a version 10.3 or 11 sometime soon. Do note that Im going for a realistic look as much as I can, so it might still look a bit washed out in the end.

For now, you may turn off the shader thats causing the washed out look in reshade, just click numpad 7 to open the menu and untick ReflectiveBumpMapping.fx. But it will also remove the reflectiveness of some textures.

This is gorgeous, truly. It makes the game look remastered alongside the high res textures.

My only issue is this makes my gpu WORK. I'm using a 3060 12gb and I cap the game at 60fps/1080p and it still brings the temps to 80-84c from my usual 70c at 90fps. Of course that is still fine for the gpu but not even Cyberpunk or Wilds gets past 75c. First time using reshade though so I'm sure that is expected with what it is doing.

Leaving this comment to really let others know to watch your temps! Thank you for sharing! I love it.

Thank youu!! Yes, unfortunately, while i have optimized the fakeRTGI effects in this mod to not reduce fps too much, most shaders that have "calculated bounced shadow" implementation running thru reshade does increase GPU heat. I have 4050 6gb ram, and it makes my laptop hot enough to cook a dango, i just use a ps5 controller so i dont really mind it much lol.

But yes i will try to do something about this, maybe add an alternative file without niceguy shaders and radiant GI, both of which are the culprits, try ticking them off and you will instantly see your gpu cool down. Lemme see what i can do

Why does my game look totally blacked out when I install this reshade? I installed the remove LUT file as well.

Hmm it is intended but i may have calibrated the light too much as i was testing at full brightness at night. Also, I cannot do anything about the UI being too dark, its a problem with reshade UI masking. But ill upload a slightly brighter fix.

I REALLY LIKE THIS PRESET, but a couple of years ago someone made this (https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterrise/mods/1168). I was wondering if you could try and remake it with your skills... it looks nice but he let too many UI glitches slide...

I actually used that mod (Cinematic Ascent) as my inspiration. Buttt, i think recreating it completely is not a good idea as, 1) as you said, the shaders it used are too GPU intensive and had too much unnecessary effects that I cant really edit much because I cant actually code, and 2) tbh we have a different aesthetic sense for realism, Im going for a sharper, muted but vibrant look, while that mod had a more intensely atmospheric, foggy style.

I will see what i can do for alternative versions of the mod, but no promises. Thanks!

I'm using a translator, so please understand
Thank you for creating a great mode I have a question and the mod screenshot seems to have DOF effect applied, but when I install it, it doesn't seem to have DOF effect Does DOF actually exist in this mod? It doesn't matter if you don't have it I was just wondering.

I sometimes use the game graphic settings DOF for the pictures. But no, the reshade doesnt have DOF.
