About this mod
This mod replaces most of the background music ( including battle and village themes ) for Stories 1 music, stories 1 music from the japanese expansion or left out music from stories 2. It's just meant to make the game feel fresh again, it's not a perfect stories 1 music mod. The songs I picked are just personal preference.
- Permissions and credits
To install the mod just paste the folder you got from the rar to: " C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Monster Hunter Stories 2 "
Let it replace the existing files inside the game files, it will replace all the bgm.
What bgm is affected?
Menu
Character creation
Battle themes
Village themes
Region themes ( the 15 second long audios )
Boss themes
Encounter theme
Victory theme
Etc.
The mod includes mostly music from stories 1, the japan exclusive themes from the tower of illusion expansion with the anime characters and black riders, and
the music that was left out in stories 2. So, some songs might be new for you :o
The mod isn't supposed to just use the counterparts of every song with stories 1 music, it was just personal preference when I picked the music.
To uninstall the mod, make a backup of the BGM folder inside the sound folder inside the nativeDX11x64 folder on the game files. And just replace the mod files
with the original files. Or verify the file integrity with steam and it will automatically replace the modded music for the original, keep in mind.
Using steam for this might replace other mods like model swaps.
Also no, it isn't possible to have custom themes for some monsters like elder dragons, at least just replacing files won't make that possible.
It's my first time modding audio so, i don't know if there's another way to achieve that.
