I also tried replacing the BGM, so I directly replaced the original BGM with the WEM file of my chosen BGM using RingingBloom_2.1. After that, I placed the resulting PCK file in the game's root directory with the correct path, but it didn't take effect. I don't understand where I went wrong.
It's pretty challenging, but basically you need to replace the bnk file in the regular sounds directory as well as the pck file in the streaming directory. The wem also can't have dual tracks (meaning if u modified with .wav, the .wav can't have any dual tracks inside it. A lot of bgms you might replace with will be dual by default so you have to split the tracks). Any you also have to make sure the size of the pck isn't substantially bigger than the original and the length of the wem not too much longer than the original.
Thank you for your advice. I went back and made some revisions, and this time I only replaced the sbnk file, which turned out to be successful. I appreciate your help.
Does anyone know whether this replaces the music that plays when you're walking around the base camp or when you're in the actual tent?
Edit: Nevermind I installed it and found out it replaces the base camp music. Was hoping this would replace the pop-up camp music in the tent since none of the songs you can select seem to fit the vibe of cozy camp interior that I wanted.
The games soundtrack (outside of jukebox) is divided between 2 files. One contains 150 tracks and the other 500+, with 500mb and 2.25gb of required space respectively. If i knew a way around this, i would change it. As of right now, replacing a single track in the file means you have to swap in the entire file for it to work.
I collected this for someone else that asked, I'll just paste it here in case it's of any further help.
This Guide for RE4 is a good starting point, fortunately stuff like the matching file sizes isn't actually the case for Wilds. Here is a WIP Sheet where people can add which .Wems belongs to which track.
I'll give you a few additional Guides that were very helpful Here, Here, and Here. The first one also has a list of required Tools, but they mostly explain how to get loops working, which is very hard to do. Took me almost 3 days to get everything working. The Audio replacement in itself is relatively easy in comparison.
You'll also need WwiseUtil if you want to change .Wems in bgm_resident_m.spck.1.X64, since RingingBloom can't seem to handle the size of the file. Just be careful that Indexes start at 1 there. This also means you have to copy the Header yourself.

Hopefully someone can find a way to make it integrate mod files individually.

In addition, you'll need this to unpack your .pak files
