If the mod is outdated and not working, ask nicely and I MIGHT update it.... assuming I've still got everything installed and updated. If not, feel free to do it yourself. I'm not fussy about anyone else making their own versions or editing it or whatever since it is just a modified version of Capcom's own files. I still get pestered periodically for similar mods I made for Monster Hunter World years ago.

If you want custom versions with different values / special changes personally made for you... make them yourself. Just use Synthlight's MHWS Editor tool to tamper with the file. And don't blame me if you break it. Point is I really can't be arsed with making all sorts of slightly tweaked variants or whatever. One thing I AM trying to figure out how to fix though are the damage values for shooting from the back of the Seikret. I haven't figured out how to change those yet... but if I do, that'll probably be a separate mod.
I think the right version was in re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002.pak since they didn't change it in the latest patch... but you can just edit the file from the mod if you want.
You would need to edit the mod file yourself. It is pretty easy to figure out. But I specifically didn't change the number of coatings because some mods for infinite coatings deliberately lock the number at specific values so it trips the damage effects of the Bandolier skill.
Hmm... What exactly are you doing when the game crashes? Asking because I just got a crash myself when I was using Focus Shot. I mean if you ALSO crash when using Focus Shot then I've got a pretty good idea where the problem lies.
That aside, "every other hunt" seems a bit severe. I fought like... 20 monsters before it crashed for me.
