My bad it's a bug with an other Mod "More Monster Spawns on fields" with the specific file "Monster stay longer" No bug anymore without this one problem solved
What do we have to do in order to get a quest without the cheating pop-up appearing? Is it even possible to generate a legitimate monster quest from this mod? I've tried fiddling with all the tickboxes but no combination I've chosen so far has worked. Everything has gone down as cheating and failed to generate a quest... even WITH the "Allow Invalid Quest" thing checked.
As long as you don't touch rewards or the timer, it should work fine. Even if you do, enabling 'Allow Invalid Quest' should make it work. I tested it just a second ago, and it's working ok. Are you sure some other mod isn't interfering in some way?
Might have been. It has been a bit mixed up. This is one of three different mods I used before TU2 that tampered with investigations. One of them (i.e. the Max Legal Investigations) one ironically had to get scrapped immediately because everything it genned was coming through as illegal and everyone complained as much on its comments section. Another one I was trying to use initially was More Monster Spawns on Fields, since that just got updated... and I figured that would only generate legal rewards for quests so it should be fine... but that was somehow making EVERYTHING illegal. So I removed that and kept trying with this one. I kept the "Allow Invalid Quest" thing ticked since you'd said to use it before... but it didn't seem to be fixing anything. I thought it was supposed to negate the cheat check, but I'm guessing it does something else since I kept getting informed that quests couldn't be generated. I've unticked the extra rewards things, difficulty-forcing, etc. The only thing I can't really reset is the timer since I've no idea what the default was. I didn't figure that was a factor. The ONLY other thing I can imagine might be screwing this up (and the More Monster Spawns one) is that having too many monsters on the field at once automatically renders all quests invalid now... which is horrifying, since I LOVE fighting 3 of the same monster at the same time.
Enabling 'Allow Invalid Quest' completely bypasses the cheat check, and it's working 100%. Also, the game isn't validating other monsters. I just created a quest with 20 Rey Dau in it, and it passed the cheat check without any issues.
How does it work then? I mean if it bypasses the cheat check 100% then why does it not work with things like the extra rewards or 60 minute timer? I wanna get to the bottom of this ideally because I think Crapcom's changes are really hurting my enjoyment of the game. The sooner I can get back to fighting huge mobs of enemies in a massive clusterfight, the better.
... Also I swear they've nerfed Bowgun Elemental ammo as it doesn't even feel remotely powerful any more. Or maybe it is just that Lagiacrus and Seregios are unnaturally tough. I've pseudo-carted in the past 3 hunts (i.e. that thing where I "die" but the Palico saves me). That never used to happen before the last two updates.
I would like to help you, but I can't do much if I can't reproduce the issue. In a situation like the one you're describing, where basically nothing works, I'm willing to bet it's caused by another mod or lingering effects from a previous mod. The only thing I can suggest is completely reinstalling the game or trying to restore a backup save.
im having problems with lagi not spawning i get a no area message when i press spawn on the UI other monsters are fine just lagi for some reason if anyone can help thx
The only thing I can think of is that you might have a specific set of monsters on the map occupying all the areas where Lagi can spawn. You should see areas listed in the 'Area' combobox. Select 'Force Area' and pick whichever area you want. Lagi should spawn just fine.
yah i thought of the same but after clearing out the map i still get the same message even with force area and normal rewards still tryna figure it out what might be causing it to not spawn
Actually, there was a very specific bug since TU1 that I only fixed recently, but I haven’t uploaded it here yet. Could you download the mod from here and let me know if it fixes the issue?
after removing all my mod and just having this on just to see if it spawns but yah still the same not spawning so im not really sure what's causing it but hopefully you'll figure it out
Cheating messages do not appear for quests that are generated normally. Please check whether the quest is configured to give a custom reward instead of one predefined by the game system. Also, capture and share an image of the quest where the message is displayed.
you can generate invalid quest for yourself but others cant join you, even if they're your friend. I had that issue with my friends on console who like my modded quest monster fight. No more fun fight with friends
Yesterday i saw in SOS Mizutsune and Lagiacrus quest, but now i tried to spawn arkveld first before Lagiacrus and added special offer and it works. thank you for updating the mod. it's working perfectly fine. the problem is that you can't add lagacrus to special offer.
yesterday i saw tempered rey dau 5 diff and tempered seregios 5 diff in same quest, but when i try to spawn reydau 1st then seregios (and seregios 1st then rey dau, and i can't spawn special offer with tempered rey dau 5 diff and tempered seregios 5 diff (and the other way around)
That's wierd. Any errors? Maybe window is spawning outside of the screen? If you goto \MonsterHunterWilds\reframework\data\FieldEventSpawner directory, is there config.json file? If there is, goto ScriptRunner>Known Scripts and uncheck FieldEventSpawner.lua then edit values marked with arrows in config.json "gui": { "main": { "is_opened": false, --> true "pos_x": 60.0, --> 0.0 "pos_y": 60.0, --> 0.0 "size_x": 400.0, "size_y": 400.0 }
There is indeed a special offer quest featuring Lagiacrus. If you search on X (formerly Twitter), you can find several quests that pair Lagiacrus with other monsters. (However, no quests featuring two Lagiacrus have been found so far. It's possible that such a quest exists but simply hasn't appeared yet due to an extremely low spawn rate.) Lagiacrus behaves differently from other monsters — when its health drops, it always retreats to a designated area where you are forced to engage in underwater combat. This unique mechanic might cause it to spawn differently from other monsters. Additionally, there have been reports that Lagiacrus does not appear immediately after resting at a tent. Instead, it may take about two minutes after resting before it spawns.
