About this mod

This preset aims to save the original look of the game while improving the clarity of HDR picture plus slightly changing the color scheme to be more correct and natural.

Permissions and credits
Tested on 1440p DLSS4 preset K with Oled monitor at 1000 peak brightness HDR mode.
All in-game settings are set to default in order to maintain the color stability and avoid oversaturation.
If you use a different HDR mode, please adjust your in-game HDR first setting accordingly and the reshade should auto adjust to the correct peak brightness.

Install instructions:
- Requires REFramework and Reshade
- When installing Reshade, select Monster Hunter Wilds > "Next" > select DirectX 10/11/12 > "Next" > you will see all the possible effects, but you can also browse the Reshade.ini at the bottom, there, pick my Reshade, and it will automatically download all the necessary effects.
- Put the reshade ".ini" file into your Monster Hunter Wilds directory.
- When you boot the game, you will see a short tutorial for Reshade, complete it and make sure that my reshade is selected as the active one.

The preset also has a sharpening filter for better visuals, but if your picture is already sharp enough for you, you can turn it off.

Issues with current HDR options we have:
1) RTX HDR - too dark and desaturated
2) Native HDR - too bright, orange tint everywhere, very desaturated
3) RenoDX - requires shader redownload and does not fix the game color scheme from what I tested, plus even after redownloading the shaders there were some visual glitches that I did not like. The newest version of RenoDX is absolutely amazing, so consider waiting for an update on their mod page or joining their discord to test it out. It fixes so many issues with the game that normal reshades cannot.

Short description of included filters:
Adaptive sharpening - adds a soft sharpening filter to the picutre to make it more clear and make colors even more accurate and good looking
Correct Color - set up in a way that slightly affects the color scheme of the game making it look a little more natural, while still maintaining 90% of the original game look
Filmic Tonemap - makes the picture clearer and better looking in term of contrast
Blackfloor fix - gives you deep blacks while maintaining details
Deband - fixes the innate game's problem with color grading (wavey patterns on certain light sources and textures).

The whole package of versions up to 2.1 costs around 2-3% of performance, further versions might cost a little more, but provide better visual clarity and color accuracy.
For an even better visual quality of the game I highly recommend downloading this mod:
