If you ask me a question answered in the description I will give you a condescending answer. I'd say "you've been warned" but if it got to that point you wouldn't have read this either so.... (Hey! A free condescending example!) (Sorry, nothing personal. Nexus users and their general ability to not read have broken me, and I don't deal well with customer service roles and people asking stupid obvious questions.)
Vortex is not supported. If it works for you, great. If not, oh well. I package all my mods with `modinfo.ini` files setup for FMM and in many cases to list as sub-menus. Vortex doesn't like the sub-menus. Either way, I don't use Vortex and am not going out of my way to reinvent everything just for it.
for those clueless like me, this is a pak mod that doesnt really uninstall very well. I "uninstalled it" with fluffy mod manager but it didnt turn off no matter how many times I rested or did anything else. if you read the description he has a guide to uninstall "All mods" but i didnt want to do that. if you ujst follow the instructions he listed for pak based mods wehre you delete pak files, then verify steam, that solved it for me
Sorry to be a pain but is there any chance you could explain how to do this step by step? I understand he has a guide in the description but i was just wondering if you might be able to explain how you did it step by step and as simply as possible please?
go to steam right click monster hunter wilds hover on manage files and click "browse local files" in the folder that pops up, scroll down until you see files that look like this "re_chunk_000.pack.sub_000.pak.patch_XXX" where XXX is stuff like 001, 002, 003, etc. select all of the pak.patch files I described above and delete them completely. go to steam again right click monster hunter wilds click properties click installed files click verify integrity of game files let it verify your game is probably now fixed
if you have any issues, go to fluffy mod manager and uninstall ALL of your mods and try to open the game, it should launch. once you've confirmed your game is launching, reinstall all your mods in fluffymodmanager.
Regarding your tutorial for uninstalling all mods from the game. First, thank you for it. Second, I'm looking at my clean install of the game and I just want to make sure, but didn't TU1 add 002.pak(s)? I'm asking because your tutorial is mentioning 001.pak(s) but 002s will popup with after verification.
I've used the Increased crown monster spawn chance mod and I can't get rid of it. I've went through your description and deleted everything but it still doesn't go away. No mod is active but all monsters are still big and small crowns. Is there anything else I can do?

Whats spawned will have data set, just removing mod doesn't unedit whats spawned.
Resting so they leave the map, and new stuff comes in should reset that.
anyways, how do I delete the mod? :D
