Extract from the latest PAK that has the files! The pak are not mutually exclusive, they are chronological. Higher pak # = priority. Whilst latter paks will have newer files, it might not have *all* the files of something and you'll have to look in earlier paks for those. This is how updates work.
Vanilla sub-PAKs contain only textures. FMM will install all modded PAKs as sub-PAK patches.
My MH wilds file got deleted and I had 80+ hours on it. My buddy sent me his save file. Can I use this to change the ID of his save file to match my steam id?

please, how can i add 10 rewards (10 stacks 255) to one investigation? 5 monsters/25 rewards is possible with CE, i just want 10 lol
This isn't a save editor. Best you've got it tweaking the files that generate investigations, and if you want to know which files those are, click "preview file contents" on the mods here that've done it (tweak investigation generation) already.
ExQuestRewardSetting.user.3 <---- possible investigations are stored here. you can edit most rewards, then rest in game and check the updated monsters. i understand we're playing with paks vs save editing. i just cant seem to get more than 5 rewards to register on one investigation. marcus showed me how with CE but i dont have enough memory 😭

weight = the % an item has to drop. you probably want 100 yummy = lucky ticket in use RANK_## = how many stars the monster is NUM = the number of the reward. 255 max
using ctrl - I to add a row, and adding more rewards to a rank doesnt increase the rewards. it only adds the possibility of different rewards to the pool
Is there some trick to getting ree-pak-rs to work? I've downloaded it and put it in a folder. I've tried double-clicking the exe with the fancy icon. Nothing happens. I've tried dragging PAK files onto the same exe. Something flashes up for a moment then immediately vanishes. I've tried using the command line version through Command Prompt (as Administrator) with presumably the correct syntax and it just gives me errors about not being able to access the file directory or somesuch, even if I put a copy of the pak files in the folder with it. I've almost certainly misunderstood something here, as it keeps telling me to try the --help command, but that command doesn't help. I've tried downloading the GUI version of the exe, but it changes nothing. Double-clicking it doesn't seem to open anything.
[Edit]: Nevermind. After a lot of trial and error I managed to work out what the hell the command line version wanted. I still can't get the GUI version to work... but I've written down explicitly what I had to type in for the command line thing to work. They don't make this easy. Apparently the "Project" thing it referred to was one of the asset files referring to Monster Hunter Wilds... as opposed to being some alternate phrasing of an output folder.
Clearly understood that this is, indeed, not a save editor. Still, i was wondering (since i can't find anything through google) if there's an actual MHWS save editor somewhere that you know of, that would help a lot. If not, thanks a lot still and keep up the good work
Ok guys edited some skills saved it. How do i make it usable for fluffy mod manager. Explain to me like im 10 lol. Just barely learned how extract and change value numbers. 1st step is done 2nd step repack said files. 3rd step change text on said skills. Baby steps lol. Thanks in advance

Hello, and thank you for creating such an amazing tool. After the game update on April 4th, I extracted a .user.3 file from 002.pak and tried to load it using your program. However, for some reason, the file explorer doesn't recognize the .user.3 file when I try to open it. Would you happen to know any way to fix this issue?
Why would explorer know what to do with it if you don't tell it how. (Assuming you mean the "windows can't open this type of file" window. If not, well, elaborate.)

The filter for either is `*.user.3`. Are you 100% sure it's a user file and not some other extension with windows set to hide file extensions? I cannot replicate any sort of issue like that. Show me a vid.

You're using MHW Editor. You can even see this in the bottom right of the open screen where the filetype filter is set to "MHW Data Files (See the description....)". If you were actually using this editor, it would be set to "RE Data Files (*.user.3)".
