    Hey i've tried installing the mod with fluffymanager and tried installing it manually, but both dont seem to work for me.

    I guess im doing something wrong but cant figure out what, since using AED doesnt activate axe mode at all.
    But im not getting any script errors with REFramework so it should work, can you tell me what im doing wrong? Thanks.

      Ow it seems to work when i charge both shield and sword first and then use AED. Is that the way youre supposed to do it?
      If i charge shield only for example it doesnt work if i use AED after, im guessing thats how its supposed to work?

      you can config it in REF -> Script Generated UI -> Charge Blade AED Activates Power Axe Mode

    Can you make a mod where we can activate savage axe from guard point instead of perfect guard?

    Hi, I noticed that the SAED off of guarding/PB/GP doesn't trigger SA. Could that be patched in?

    This is a phenomenal mod. The balance adjustments gives you tons of options with deep implications.

    One of the main changes in Wilds CB is phial economy. We have way more phials then we can usually use. This favors an SAED centric gameplay, but since Power Axe is king, it gets overlooked. This is how this mod addresses this issue based on the 3 different balance adjustments.


    • Consume Charged Sword

      • Gives a reason to charge your sword, a very overlooked part of the kit

    • Consume phials

      • Gives a much needed balance change to phial economy. Great for playstyles that favor Power Axe, but like to use GP instead of PG. Favors the use of Load Shells

    • Consume sword energy

      • A great and nuanced take on the phial economy. This is for playstyles that spend quite a bit of time in sword mode. The Power Axe timer goes up based on what charge is used. Yellow/Red/Overcharged. Since you are incentivized to overcharge your sword, this also makes Condensed Sword Slash an appealing and useful part of the kit again. Favors using Focus


    These can all be linked with the 3 different S/AED attacks and have vast implications. Will also explain the implications of using ReEnable on Activation, which basically means that you can top of the Power Axe timer before it expires. With this disabled, you can only activate Power Axe once it's run out already.


    • AED

      • This is a fairly standard replacement for Savage Axe when in combat, and lets you enter Power Axe without too much hassle most of the time. 
      • If you have ReEnable activated, this means that as long as you're responding to long animation monster attacks with GP->AED, your Power Axe stays alive forever

    • AED Followup

      • This is quite interesting from a counter playstyle. Getting to AED Followup from a block basically takes the same time as an SAED but doesn't leave you in SnS mode. 
      • You'll basically be using this to change up how you punish monster topples if you don't have Power Axe active already. Instead of ED1 -> ED2 -> AED -> AED Followup, you'll do AED -> AED Followup first
      • Looks cool, and thematically makes the most sense in my opinion

    • SAED

      • Brings back SAED into the toolkit
      • Fixes phial economy in a good way
      • "Consume Sword Energy Mode" doesn't pair very well with this, since you'll be in SnS mode right after, and you won't be able to generate phials until you attack with sword a bit more
      • If using "Consume Phials Mode" or "Consume Charged Sword Mode", you'll have to have enough sword energy ready since SAED drops you into SnS, you can bank your phials and then go directly into ED1


    As I've understood it there are 3 main flavors of this you can try


    • Consume Phials + AED + ReEnable disabled

      • Decent replacement for Savage Axe
      • Fixes phial economy
      • You can now happily leave behind PG and use your veteran muscle memory of GP if you'd like
      • You bank phials more often
      • Benefits from Load Shells (Focus to a lesser degree)
      • Difficulty increase: Low

    • Consume Sword Energy + AED Followup + ReEnable enabled

      • Gives life to Condensed Sword Slash in an indirect way, since you'll want to overcharge your energy a lot of the time
      • Fixes phial economy in an indirect way by making you use excess energy
      • You bank phials less often
      • Playstyle doesn't change very much but your punishment rotations change
      • Benefits from Focus
      • Difficulty increase: Moderate

    • Consume Charged Sword + SAED + ReEnable enabled

      • Gives life to Condensed Sword Slash
      • Gives life to SAED
      • Fixes phial economy
      • Can't enable Power Axe very easily on a counter, usually only 1 attack per monster will have enough of an opening for SAED
      • If you topple a monster with the SAED though, you can bank your existing sword energy into phials and go into your regular punishment combo.
      • Very satisfying and ties together the entire CB toolkit
      • Benefits from Load Shells + Focus
      • Difficulty increase: High

    This is basically a non-factor if you're popping wounds left and right since that also activates Power Axe. There are a few mods that increase monster HP and wound opening thresholds, I'd recommend installing those as well. That will limit how often you'll have to go through the AED chains to reactivate Power Axe. If you're using Weakness Exploit, then leaving wounds open and only punishing specific temporary wound opening attacks to get Power Axe leaves you with enough downtime to be incentivized to use the S/AED Power Axe methods.


    To the mod author, thank you again for this. This is a great addition to the CB modding scene.

      Yes I totally agree that this mod is simply a great change for the current CB. In regular matches I rarely see people using SAED and sword charge, simply there is no reason to use them both. With Power Axe not being able to be activated by yourself in Wilds, this is actually a great opportunity to bring these two features back to the stage. And this mod did it.

    Hi, just one thing: I think duration of Savage Axe when activated by AED is too short (I have it with enabled option to consume phials). When you Perfect Guard/Break Wound into Savage Axe it lasts longer than when you activate it with AED using your mod. Could you kindly check it?

      Because the duration of Savage Axe  is related to the number of phials. I refer to a completely the completely filled phials. 
      one phial offers 16s , one overcharge phial offers 24s .
      I can change the number if you think it's more appropriate, because it's not very precise, right
      And This mod makes charging too easy, so I don't think it's appropriate to charge for too long

      Imo if you charge from full phials it should be same duration as from Wound/Perfect Guard. I would appreciate that change or optional file. Thank you!
