The UI changed again, there is a second drop down for the cooldown time, yes its annoying im working on a fix just wanted something semi working, It not longer takes damage after guarding which was on over sight on my part, Im working on getting clash to work and to add combo checks as well.
If you have to stand still, you can just hold up a shield while doing so, and this mod will no longer be necessary. I'd like it to go back to the original behavior.
is there a mod that allows me to block anytime I want then? I used this one cos I could block any time, wich was what I wanted, but now its just trash bot to me...
When I have mods enabled and select the Switch Axe, if a monster attacks me and I press the R key to transform my weapon, I will just stand still in place.
If we simply let the player judge that if he succeeds in guarding, he is “just guarded”, there is no need for him to become a scarecrow and no need for him to T-pose.
drnxttyy I like the idea of this mod very much and I want to see it succeed. Therefore I would like to suggest a alternative and more simple solution to this problem that this mod tries to solve.
Normally by repeatedly using "guard slash" in SnS, it will always block the monster's attacks and sometimes even perfect block it. Clashes and offensive guard still activates from "guard slash" even if the block is not a perfect block. Offensive guard even activates on all blocks even if they are not perfect blocks because the interval for offensive guard is more forgiving than a perfect block.
Therefore a solution could be a mod that automatically does "guard slashes" (plural) when a monster tries to hit you. By always doing "guard slashes" you will at the very least guard the monsters attacks and sometimes even perfect guard it. It also solves the problem with offensive guard and clashes "not working", and hopefully makes the hit detection problem more simpler because you could repeatedly use "guard slash" before getting attacked instead of trying to perfectly time it.
I have very limited knowledge of coding, for that reason I can't make this myself. However with your knowledge and skills, I hope that this at least could be a temporary solution. Apologies if this was unnecessary and I pray for the success of this mod!
If I have a bow equipped and the mod is still active (first option active, second was inactive), then my character does a T-Pose, if the "block" is triggered. Looks really funny :)
Maybe you can add a check for supported weapon type, so that does not happen.
