Wow I should have combined them both lmao. I got really busy irl and forgot about it. Good on you.
I'm kinda skeptical about the instant warping myself. I use a 2s version cause it makes the bird appear in a unpredictable angle which got me killed more than it saved me. it does seem intended so you don't rely on the bird in fights to get away from danger as it has a reaction to enemies preparing an attack around you. It has a habit of checking off it's bucket list before coming to you and it's kinda wack. I hope they add a priority for players in the future patches. Would be sick for modding too of course.
I also use the 2s version, but it can be wonky. There could definitely be improvements overall, but slapping the two together and doing a little speed tuning produced pretty good results.
Random, seemingly unrelated question: Can you make the Seikret fly?
i.e. Make it so Gliding doesn't lose altitude... and travels faster? So we could jump off a cliff and hypothetically fly around the map? Maybe even upward?
It's perfect thank you. My main thing is "hold to sprint" & the Seikret missing you because it looks drunk. The speed boost is perfect, and I'm only slightly faster than other Hunters who aren't sprinting, so I doubt anyone can really tell w/o knowing about the mod and that's only if they're playing to actively find modders & not to hunt. Most hunters won't notice/chalk it up to latency/lag/game's myriad of input problems.
I also hate how the stupid Seikret can miss you and it just feels so dumb seeing that happen, so I'm glad that's (mostly?) gone.
After trying it out, I must say, I am very grateful~! I am always worried about some quality of life mods. I want to experience the game as close to how the devs intended, but some things can just be so frustrating, and like others have said, carting because your mount decided to keep running an extra five feet into a monster's attack, just doesn't feel good.
I do have to ask though, how obvious are these changes in multiplayer? Should I be worried using this in public? The convenience isn't worth loosing the privilege to play the game after all XD (Or whatever Capcom does to "cheaters")
Np. It comes across fine in multiplayer. You arent really running at mach speed, the idea is to get as close to OG sprint speed as possible. I just dont want to have to hold the sprint key down. At over 100 hours, its miserable to hold it anymore.
This doesn't answer the question fully for me. Essentially what you said is this: In multiplayer, it may not be noticed by the average player.
But I'd like to know this: If any random player you meet has the potential for either knowing that this mod exists, or has enough experience in the game to notice the smallest things such as running animation vs sprinting animation, would they be able to notice the changes that this mod provides?
I would assume the answer is yes. I'd like the convenience but as EL058 said, it's not worth getting banned in any respect. Especially since for all intents and purposes, it is technically a cheat.
This comes down to a philosophical debate. This does not impact others gameplay in any way. Nor are you running at mach speed to the next objective as to be considered obnoxious by the average player. Nothing wild is happening. Its simply QoL and accessibility. Sure, use at your own discretion/risk, but thats the case for every mod on every game. This is no exception, but is by no means an 'unfair advantage'.
I totally get that, and thanks for the answer. I guess I was less concerned about the speed boost, and more so the teleporting mount when you call it. I was wondering how that looks on other people's screens. Would they see it teleporting? Or does it function normally for them some how. Was just curious what to expect.
For the record because apparently people don't realize this, you can't get banned unless you are manipulating paid store items like modding to give you the items on the steam store. You WILL NOT get banned for modding the game, even if someone sees it and reports it. There is no anticheat system currently implemented and I don't think there ever will be. Just use common sense with mods, no one hit kill weapons, resource adjusters that effect other people etc. It's pretty simple.
You don't have to hold the sprint key down. There's a setting in the keyboard controls specifically to add a keybind for toggling sprint on the Seikret.
Yes, toggle sprint exists. But your seikret will still suck at times. This now means you dont have to remember to toggle sprint, and you wont be outrunning the stupid bird for half the journey to the next monster.
I do think the mod is a great quality-of-life improvement for those who want to streamline their gameplay experience, and I totally get why people use it. That said, I think it’s worth considering that even though it doesn’t directly impact other players, it does provide an advantage over the game’s intended design. The delay in calling the Seikret is likely there to balance risk and reward during combat, and bypassing that mechanic does give a gameplay edge that others playing without the mod wouldn’t have.
For example, I’m currently doing a solo no-armor playthrough, and in that context, being able to instantly escape with the Seikret could completely change the dynamic. Without armor, just about every monster attack is potentially fatal, and the delay in calling the Seikret adds a layer of tension and strategy that feels core to the challenge. Removing that delay would make a huge difference in how the game plays out for me.
At the end of the day, it’s really up to each player how they want to experience it. But I think it’s fair to acknowledge that this kind of change does alter the game’s balance, even if it’s just a small convenience normally.
Good work on the mod! And good luck on whatever mods and updates you make in the future! ♥
Edit: I just now saw the update for the 2 second delay. Thank you for doing that, I didn't consider whether you may not have known about the exploitative nature it could have. Personally I probably still won't use it but I hope it helps out others even more!
Does the teleport part work in combat? As in if I get knocked down and call my seikret, does it just instantly appear next to me to pick me up? The time it takes for them to pull you out of a bad spot in combat feels intended, I don't wanna ruin that
I HAVENT DOWNLOADED THIS BUT I KNOW THAT THIS WILL BE AMAZING I f*#@ing HATE THAT STUPID CHICKEN PIECE OF s#*! SO MUCH PLEASE, (I love you my cute little seikret, you just suck ass at your job)

Thanks for your original mod, it was a huge help!
이 모드를 비활성화하면 이런 증상이 없어요

Haven't installed yet waiting for all the kinks to get ironed out.
But I'm loving seeing those tweaks !

Edit: Sorry, posted twice. Not sure how.

You're welcome. :)

The idea is not to break that kind of immersion, and really focus on QoL / accessibility.
It now has a 2s delay to prevent this kind of exploitation.
Thanks for the feedback!
