with iceborn that arrives, it is not excluded that develloper will take example on your mod, which is just beautiful, knowing that the zinogre was announced last so i hope be like the one of your sublime mod, or as like in world where part of the metal gunlance is covered with skin or scales, but personally I really hope that they will put the same model of MHGU for glavenus
forgive my horrible English, I'm french and not very good in grammar, I probably used the french names of monsters, I hope that yours will not mind me ^ ^ 'otherwise continue, you do a job absolutely perfect
So i changed all the filenames to match the weapon ID im trying to replace, but when i do it just gives me the Lightning Blaze texture, so i went into MRL3 files and changed them from 008 to let's say 004 , and it gave me no texture, the weapon was just checker marks, i'm so so lost and i've tried everything
um... can somebody tell me where to put this file? and which one of the file is the first screen shot? it's a shame that we could only replace taroth pink rathian T_T, some other gun lance replacement would be cool too.
EDIT) oh...I just downloded the file and it's all in the file telling which skins is which lul,
You'll find a ''wp'' map in there that should go into your nativePC map
You can then use this weapon transmog tool to change the appearance of any gunlance into the Taroth Gunlance https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/444
I think the Taroth Gunlance in question is called Armour gun???(Japanese signs) Worked for me anyways... It might be possible to change the file names into another weapon code but that never worked out for me.
If you want to replace other weapons it should be fairly easy.
The mods end up inside the NativePC\wp\gun\ folder. Replacements for the Royal Burst (pink rath) are in a folder called gun007. Just look up the weapon ID for whatever you want to replace and rename the folder/files inside accordingly.
Say you wanted to use it for the Empress Howl instead: rename the folder to bs_gun009 and do the same for any files inside that reference the weaponID. Boom, you have successfully replaced a weapon of your choice. You still need to preserve the original name and path for the texture files though.
Weapon IDs can be found here: https://github.com/Ezekial711/MonsterHunterWorldModding/wiki/Weapon-IDs#gunlance
I got the textures and everything to work on some of the weapons thanks to the ID list, but not on some others. For example, everything worked out just fine with the Deviljho and Pink Rathian gunlances with any of these textures, but the Tobi Kadachi and Rathalos gunlances just turn into a textureless model. Even the same texture that works on one weapon doesn't work on another, and I can't find anything that works for those. Any suggestions or fixes?
Even if you want to replace another weapon you still have to leave the textures (.tex files) where they originally were. "\nativePC\wp\gun\gun007\mod"is where they will have to be, regardless of which weapon you want to replace. The location of the textures is baked into the model files so if you just do a quick&dirty replacement without editing those files you need to leave the textures in the original folder, with their original name.
Edit: You can also edit the .mrl3 files to point towards any texture location you want. Open them with the editor and you should see which resource lines to change pretty much immediately.
I'll give it a try. This is my first time really trying to customize the files rather than just slapping them directly into the directories. Thanks for the help.
I am having a issue with some weapons still have the Rathalos/Legiana/Kadachi etc. Like accesories on the weapons on the Kjarr weapons is there a way I can remove it?
I was searching the internet all morning for gunlance mods thinking by myself: I wish Nexus had more Gunlance mods... it's my favourite weapon but I'm kinda bored with the designs.

The gunlance you see in the first screenshot should be in this map: 3tri???³´ÑÃ?-ðÌ©? ?µ???¡?Ì´ÑÃ??? ?« Â¥

You're likely doing something wrong then.
