Hey, first off, thanks for this great tool. It's perfect. I checked your GitHub hoping to see the source code of this tool. The reason is that I'm curious about creating a forked version. I have some ideas in mind, and I'm interested in the code to see how it works. I'm wondering if it's possible to modify the tool to create something like quick save states. For example, on my modded 3DS back in the day, there was an option to save the state of a game (like pausing it) and restoring this point of state later. It would be absolutely amazing to quickly restart a quest, for example.
Sorry to bug you, I'm just a PC noob who downloaded "WorldProcessTool" to use as a pause button in "Monster Hunter World" However, it doesn't seem to be working. i press Alt and 1 and nothing happens, what am I doing wrong?
Would it be possible to add a hotkeys.txt file or something so that we can edit the hotkeys, and disable some of them entirely? or just remmap them away from the other options, so we don't accidentally restart it when we try to suspend or unsuspend mhw?
is this working with the current game build? I downloaded this today and used it to restart my game client with the hotkey as I was testing mods but now my game crashes during the boot screen after the speedtree/havok/umbra/simplygon logos every single time even if worldprocesstool isn't running. It's not my savefile as I loaded a backup I had from a week ago and its not my nativepc folder as I deleted it to check and regardless my game is still crashing every single time at the same spot of the boot screen.
I haven't played with the latest build but the tool doesn't write anything to the disk and any traces of the execution will disappear with a reboot of your system at the most, so that sounds like some other issue. Did you try verifying the game files via Steam?
Maybe also double check if you have any programs running that inject themselves into the process or if there are any DLLs that aren't supposed to be in the game install dir that hook the executable. Otherwise I'm at loss.
Thanks for the quick reply. I rebooted my system and verified the steam files, "All files successfully validated" but its still crashing at the same spot.
EDIT: ok so it seems special k was the culprit but idk why though. I removed his dxgi.dll and after that the game booted correctly with no crash, I loaded my character, went on a quest, everything completely normal. I even restarted the game using worldprocesstool, everything completely normal. But as soon as I put back special k's dxgi.dll the game goes back to crashing at the same previously mentioned spot. idk why but I'm beyond caring at this point; I'm just glad I can play again. Thanks for your help MHVuze!
Is it possible to remove some of the hotkeys? Opening it in notepad makes it all sorts of weird and doesn't seem to allow for edits. I just want the pause and unpause - alt+numpad 3 is particularly problematic because it can be hit by accident, and it's also the numpad code for the heart symbol. :P
I can suspend the process, but MHW stops responding immediately after suspension and needs to be force quit. This is on Windows 7 64-bit with MHW running in borderless windowed. Tested both online and offline modes. There's another program (Universal Pause Button) that suspends MHW, but it also makes MHW non-responsive. I'd be interested in a solution if possible!
