I wish I knew why some mods don't work for some people.
Installing mods is supposed to be a matter of unpacking the archive to Monster Hunter World\NativePC\ (you unpack to Monster Hunter World\ and the archive is already set up to make and put the files in NativePC\).
Yeah, I haven't figured out how to fix that yet. Other than needing to manually "graft" the original normals back on via hex editing and making a patch, which takes forever.
the physics of the longer version are amazing. but could you patch the pony tail longer version with the same physics since that one is my favorite hair style
I can't because that one only has around 3 bones for the ponytail. This one has 8. Currently not possible to add bones or easily modify physics. I could repurpose existing bones, but it would be a huge pain and break other functionality (I'd have to use the bones that are used to adjust how hair is "reshaped" to different helms).
CTC and CC files contain the physics. If you have those files and it's still "a stick", then it's the helm you're using.
Capcom made it so some helms disable the hair physics. You can override this by finding an EVHL file that does not disable the physics, and put it in that helm's folder. But it's a pain up the butt to do, so you're better off just using a different helm, or hiding it.
I must praise this more, downloaded the longest ponytail version and was expecting a bit stiffness for the physics, there is none! Looks absolutely gorgeous!
Yeah, that's because the original ponytail has 8 bones for movement. The others only have around 3. I could change the physics to make it look more floaty instead of wiggly, but not sure fi that'd look better or worse.
Downloading the longest ponytail option immediately, i hope the hair does extra slash damage as it whips the monsters :v
Also nice that you can mix two hairstyles! Any possibility to mix long straight (https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/266) with front hair from low ponytail (https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterworld/mods/303) as ponytail front/side bangs seem separate enough to fit long back hair, without too much texture/mesh clash?
Those ones are more difficult because they have bones for the hair physics. Whereas the front on the twintails doesn't seem to actually move. As long as the parts don't look like they should move, it should be okay to just copy paste parts over. Still have to worry about texture combining problems though.
forgot the twin pigtail doesnt have physics in front, sorry. Take your time with these ^u^)b you doing superb work as always! Have you managed to investigate wet skin texture yet? In Skyrim it was relatively easy, to open mesh files in Nifskope-tool and edit glossiness/specular strength values, how is it in tools you have available? Also would be interesting to see how you edit these (mesh/textures), what tools you use?
Haven't gotten around to it. I'm not exactly sure how the wetness in game works. It could just be lowering the alpha channel of the skin texture to make the skin look more shiny (like how my body suit mods look).
this is an amazing step forward that i'm really impressed by. great work as usual! what this REALLY means is there's potential to fix the front of the twintails hair by replacing it with the front of the (normally short) ponytail with the bangs hair. crossing my fingers that mad stuff like this becomes doable! this is great; can't wait to make gifs!
Thanks. Also, thanks for making gifs, as always. I would like to change the fringe on the ponytail, but it'll probably have to be without physics. Unless I do a lot of hacking around to repurpose existing bones, but even then I'm not sure if that'd work.

Also it would be nice have a wider color adjusting range.

How can i fix problem of physics in this mod?
pony hair of this mod looks like stick...
