Is it possible to have this work in openmw or no? Also I see that all the backpacks are considered armor slots in MorrowindXedit, and I can't rebind the backpacks to a belt slot because of this. Is there a workaround for this?
Hi! I'm just wondering... What is the ID for the pouch? Because for some reason, the traders aren't selling me the backpack or the pouch. I already found the ID for the backpack in the comments here, so I was able to add it through console command. Now I'm just trying to get the pouch.
I was thinking of trying your mod. However I notice in the compatibility section of the description for the survival mods this will work with AshFall is not on your list. Does this work with that survival mod? And if not any possible thoughts on making it compatible?
I love the new mwse version but it gives the following error in mwse.log:
Error in event callback: Data Files\MWSE\mods\Danae\Backpack\main.lua:104: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil) stack traceback: .\Data Files\MWSE\core\event.lua:137: in function <.\Data Files\MWSE\core\event.lua:136> [C]: in function 'pairs' Data Files\MWSE\mods\Danae\Backpack\main.lua:104: in function <Data Files\MWSE\mods\Danae\Backpack\main.lua:103> [C]: in function 'xpcall' .\Data Files\MWSE\core\event.lua:150: in function 'trigger' .\Data Files\MWSE\core\event.lua:170: in function <.\Data Files\MWSE\core\event.lua:140>
Hi, i have receiving a message upon starting the game with this mod:
"One of the files that "Adventurer's backback.ESP" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information."
i'm pretty sure this has something to do with my game not having the survival mods, the mod works fine by ignoring that message, but i just want to be sure that it is what i am thinking, if it is should i mark yes to all on MGE XE in order to not see this warning again?
It means this mod was made with a different version of masters than the one you have. As long as you have the latest Wares-base.esm, you can ignore the warning.
You can use this mod without a survival mod.
To remove these sorts of warnings (you will see them often with mods that use masters such as wares, OAAB, and TR), you can use the Construction Set or Wrye Mash to synch the plugins 9esp) with the masters (esm)
Here's a quick how-to in Wrye Mash: 1. in the mod window, click on the mod 2. bottom left corner, click on the list of masters associated with this mod 3. click save. You have just updated the master headers.
Thanks for the explanation and fast response, this really helped me to sort that out, the warning was starting to get annoying, now i can play without having this pop-ups every time i open the game.
Update Ok, so I'm apparently an idiot, and hadn't installed MGE XE correctly, which prevented MWSE from doing its thing for this mod. Once I got that sorted away and loaded my saved game where I was having the pauldron issue, it worked like a charm. Knew it had to be something I messed up.
I'll keep the old comment around below this in case anyone runs into a similar problem in the future.
Original Issue Hoping someone might be able to help, since I honestly don't know what I've done wrong here.
First of all, awesome mod!
Now, this mod claims that with MWSE, the backpack will not take up a pauldron slot. I have MWSE downloaded, extracted to my Morrowind folder (which was installed via Steam), and I ran MWSE-Update.exe.
Then I installed this mod (and its pre-req, Wares-base.esm) , started a new character, and bought a backpack. I was prompted to pick a setting for the backpack, and I picked "None" since I'm not running any survival mods. I now have a backpack with a Feather 60 pt effect, but when I equip it, it removes one of my pauldrons.
I tried re-running MWSE-Update.exe after installing this mod, but no luck.
Any insights? First time modding this particular game, and it sure seems a bit more... particular than some others I've worked with, lol.
Also, I had looked into buying a backpack on a character I had already created prior to installing this mod, and all he could find at stores were pouches, which provide a Feather 40 pt effect. Equipping THOSE did NOT remove a pauldron.
Can you make a version where when you first use the backpack there are popup regarding which survival mods i use? I like the mod to be as seamless as possible as if it was a vanilla feature
