Abecean Shores
Abecean Shores will bring players far from Morrowind to the western coasts of Cyrodiil, the Imperial Province. These lands are ruled by the Kingdom of Anvil, the largest and richest of the Colovian realms. At the kingdom's heart sits the mighty city of Anvil itself, an enormous port metropolis binding the Imperial heartland to the myriad lands of the West. In the plazas, alleys, temples, and wharfs of Anvil, players will find scores of memorable characters, handcrafted interiors, and intricate quests that breathe life into an entirely new piece of Tamriel.
Beyond the walls of Anvil city, the kingdom rules over two distinct hinterlands. To the east, players will explore the rainy Strident Coast and Dasek Marsh, a fertile swathe of countryside which hosts the town of Brina Cross and a number of smaller villages, farms, and ranches. Beyond the placid lowlands, these interior lands offer opportunities for adventure - and danger. Crumbling ruins of the ancient Ayleid and Reman empires dot the land, alongside a wealth of caves, barrows, mines, and goblin warrens.
To the west, Anvil rules a vast reach of the Abecean Sea, spattered with islands, dungeons, and yet more quest content. The largest of Anvil's islands, Stirk Isle, has been entirely overhauled since the pre-alpha release of Project Cyrodiil, and now hosts a dense concentration of quests both within and outside the new town of Charach. Taking full advantage of TESIII's robust underwater gameplay, players will discover an entirely new world beneath the waves, with new coral reefs, sea creatures, dungeons, and treasures to be found on the seafloor.
Like Tamriel Rebuilt and Skyrim: Home of the Nords, Project Cyrodiil is a fully-realized, fully-playable fan-made expansion to TESIII: Morrowind. Players may travel to Cyrodiil at any level, and at any stage in their character's journey. Like the original game, our quest content is designed to maximize roleplay and choice, and to immerse players in the world and the culture of its people.
Besides the dozens of standalone miscellaneous quests, Abecean Shores includes a full palette of faction questlines. Players will encounter some familiar factions from Morrowind, like the Thieves Guild, Fighters Guild, and Mages Guild, but you'll also find dynamic new factions, including the Itinerant Priests and the Kingdom of Anvil itself. Altogether, Abecean Shores includes over 160 quests, guaranteeing dozens of hours of playtime.
Bethesda fans will no doubt recognize Anvil from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, where it featured as a quest hub. While we have taken some aesthetic inspiration from the Mediterranean style of that game's Anvil city, and a select few characters are shared, the similarities end there. The world of Abecean Shores is based on original concepts of the Project Tamriel team, and our approach to quest design, world development, and lore is intended to match the setting of TESIII, rather than TESIV.
We are enormously pleased to release Abecean Shores, the first release of Project Cyrodiil, after many, many years of effort by hundreds of developers. Thank you for your support!
Notes and FAQ - Please Read!
Project Cyrodiil is a fan project for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to build Cyrodiil inside of the Morrowind engine and worldspace. The project exists under the umbrella of the Project Tamriel team, which includes Skyrim: Home of the Nords and other in-development province mods.
The Cyrodiil of Project Cyrodiil is our own interpretation, rather than a copy of Bethesda's work in Oblivion. Based on lore from Morrowind, the Pocket Guides to the Empire, and other sources, we have based our creation on what you might expect from having played TESIII rather than later games in the series.

Installation Information
----------------------------
i. Requirements
----------------------------
Before installing Project Cyrodiil, please ensure that you have the latest version of Morrowind (v 1.6820), including both Tribunal and Bloodmoon installed, as well as Tamriel_Data version v11.0 or higher. The Morrowind Code Patch is highly recommended for the vanilla engine. Other province projects, such as Tamriel Rebuilt, and Skyrim: Home of the Nords, are also recommended. All three province projects are dependent on Tamriel_Data, and seek to offer an integrated and mutually consistent experience, including cross-province quests which are dynamically enabled when these mods are installed together.
- Tamriel_Data: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44537
- Morrowind Code Patch (MCP): https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/19510
- "Map Expansion" feature in UI Expansion: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46071 (MWSE users only)
- Tamriel Rebuilt: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42145
- Skyrim: Home of the Nords: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44921
----------------------------
ii. Install Process
----------------------------
To install Project Cyrodiil, simply extract the contents of the "00 Core" folder into your "Data Files" folder in your Morrowind directory. When prompted to merge folders, click Yes. If you have a previous version installed, be sure to overwrite all files.
----------------------------
iii. Enabling Game Files
----------------------------
The final step before playing the new content is to ensure that the data files are enabled in Morrowind's Launcher. Simply launch Morrowind and ensure that Tamriel_Data.esm and Cyr_Main.esm are ticked.
----------------------------
iv. Updating Save Games (if using existing save with a previous version of TR):
----------------------------
If you have a savefile that has had the old Stirk alpha of Project Cyrodiil installed at any point, we strongly recommend a new save. A new save is also recommended if you have used an older version of Tamriel_Data.esm, as many things have changed or been deprecated.
All Project Cyrodiil content will be accessible the moment you load a saved game, or start a new game.

Traveling to Cyrodiil
There are several ways to reach Cyrodiil.
- Boat Travel
Players wishing to take a ship from Morrowind to Cyrodiil may speak to Titus Corilex, an East Empire Company merchant at the port of Ebonheart. If you are using Tamriel Rebuilt, Titus will instead be found near the EEC ship 'Niben's Wind' at the Old Ebonheart docks. You can also take a return trip back to Morrowind from Kaltan Doranis on the quay next to the East Empire company warehouse in Anvil.
Players using the Project Tamriel mod Skyrim: Home of the Nords may also take a ship from Skyrim to Cyrodiil by speaking with Cascus Daro on the Karthwasten docks. A return trip is available from Annine Golden-Blade on the quay of the Royal Haafingar Company in Anvil.
- Quests
Project Cyrodiil also includes three quests which can provide immersive reasons for your character to travel to Cyrodiil from Vvardenfell, the Morrowind mainland, and Skyrim. Without spoilers, these three quests can be found in Vivec City's Foreign Quarter, the College of Firewatch, and Dragonstar West, respectively. The latter two quests are enabled by script automatically when the game detects that you have Tamriel Rebuilt and Skyrim: Home of the Nords installed.

Known Issues
Project Cyrodiil is a work in progress created by amateur developers. Please be aware that bugs and inconsistencies may be found in our quests, worldspaces, or assets. Please report these when you find them on the #pc_bugs channel of the Project Tamriel discord server.
All Project Tamriel mods are compatible with vanilla TESIII, Vanilla+MWSE, and OpenMW. However, there are certain lua-enabled features (mainly spells) which are unavailable on pure vanilla installs and OpenMW, and only usable on the original TESIII engine with Morrowind Script Extender/Lua installed.
Map: By default, the in-game map for TESIII: Morrowind is not large enough to show any part of the Cyrodiil landmass. You can fix this on Vanilla+MWSE installations by enabling the optional "Map Expansion" feature in the UI Expansion mod by NullCascade (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46071). On OpenMW installations, the map will automatically adjust itself.
Distance from 0,0 jitter: As the western parts of Cyrodiil are very far away from the center of the Morrowind worldspace, certain engine instabilities are unavoidable. This may result in a small amount of object shakiness, depending on your computer. The OpenMW engine does not suffer from this issue in the same way, and does not experience noticeable jitter.
Unfinished Landmass: The end of the finished, playable worldspace will appear in some parts of the game as an abrupt drop-off of terrain. This marks the limit of the worldspace for Project Cyrodiil's finished areas. If you want to push this edge further, please consider joining our team as a developer!
=========================================
Incompatibilities
OpenMW users must use v0.49, available as development build at https://openmw.org/downloads/. OpenMW v0.48 and earlier will cause errors in Project Cyrodiil.
At the moment, no incompatibilities between Project Cyrodiil and other mods are known to us. The worldspace of West Cyrodiil is located far to the southwest of Vvardenfell.
Although they are not hard incompatibilities, we recommend against using face texture mods and body replacers. This is because Project Tamriel mods include an array of new races and faces which are designed for visual congruence with those found in the original game. Changing faces and bodies will therefore cause aesthetic inconsistencies in how NPCs look across your game world.
=========================================
Future
Project Cyrodiil is a mod under the umbrella of Project Tamriel. Future Cyrodiil releases will see the worldspace advance to the Kingdom of Sutch and the Colovian Highlands, then onward to Kvatch and inner Colovia.
There are currently four provinces in active development by Project Tamriel: Cyrodiil, Skyrim, High Rock, and Hammerfell. Skyrim: Home of the Nords is fully playable, and its developers continue to work towards the next release, the city of Markarth Side. The first releases of High Rock and Hammerfell are in development around the western Reach and Rihad, respectively.
Tamriel Rebuilt is not part of Project Tamriel, but our two projects share many developers and the Tamriel_Data asset repository. All Project Tamriel mods will always be compatible with Tamriel Rebuilt, and vice versa.
