A few of these apparently don't exist any more in the current version of TR, unfortunately, or maybe their names have changed and the signs are no longer used. In the case of the Howling Noose, the ID was changed, probably because it contained only "nn" instead of "inn", so that needs to be adjusted. The good thing is that this mod doesn't edit cells, only the base records, so the signs that are used should still work even if the cells they are used in are changed.
Thanks for reporting these! The Crystal Flower did get cut (not the worst of losses -- the sign wasn't my favorite). I'll fix the Howling Noose one and double-check the others as well.
Hi, everyone! I recently downloaded this mod and when starting the game displays a warning message. When checking the warning.txt it reads:
"One of the files that "Unique_Tavern_Signs_for_Tamriel_Rebuilt_v2.ESP" is dependent on has changed since the last save. This may result in errors. Saving again will clear this message but not necessarily fix any errors. One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information."
Open Wrye Mash (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45439?tab=files), click on the mod, and on the lower right corner you should see a list. Click on any of it (just not the checkboxes), press Yes on the dialog box that pops up, and then press save. Done!
Did you: 1) Use the patcher that comes with Tamriel Data? 2) Update in Wrye Mash the masters for the plugin? 3) Update the masters of your saved game? 4) Repair (always in Wrye Mash) your saved game? All these small operations usually help....
Thank you for your replay :) 1. Yes I do - Tamriel Rebuilt 20.02 hotfix 1. 2) Yes I did, I'm using Wrye Mash. 3)This is a new game and I'm testing everything before starting the playthrough 4) I'm not dealing with saves. I have checked with TESPCD but I can't find any conflicts and also have multipatch. The only similar mod that I have is (Arukinns Better Banner Signs and Signposts) https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/41658/ Next step - TES3Merge. Cheers!
well, about number 1).....that is not what I meant! When you download Tamriel Data, you should get in the package 2 special files: one called TR_FilePatcher_v2.jar (a java script file) and a text file called Translation.txt. When you use an .esp dependent on Tamriel Data that was not SPECIFICALLY made for the last version (in this case 20.02), you HAVE to run this script to update the references in your .esp. Wrye Mesh will not recognize these 2 files, so just take them out of the archive and put them in your Morrowind install folder. Double click on the TR_FilePatcher (you have to have java installed, of course), select the plugin you want to update and wait until it has finished. Then proceed with my point number 2 from above. If you don't have saved games, you obviously skip 3 and 4. You can further read here: https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/how-install-tamriel-rebuilt Hope it was helpful, I had with TR depending mods really bad experiences at the start; after starting to use these procedures, everything always went super smooth. So, just to be sure, I always update my TR related plugins and patches.
Hi, I tough that this is unnecessary, I guess I'm wrong :) I have a few more TR depending mods(have to check their ver.) and have to update them with TR_FilePatcher, although I don't notice any issues there. Maybe I should avoid "outdated" ver.... man I hate java. Cheers!
It is a simple script with a simple GUI,and running it on "up-to-date" mods will not break them...also, it is hard to find only up-to-date TR mods.. .)
Yeah, it is a simple script with a simple GUI, but I have issues having java on my machine, which is totally my thing and I'm not blaming anyone for using java, etc. BTW, after the TES3Merge this warnings are gone, which is strange IMO, but I have to do more checks and tests. Cheers
The only thing that running the filepatcher on this mod's esp changes (according to tes3cmd diff) is to update the master record with T_D 7.1's size. I'd be very surprised if the fix involved saved games since I get sign doubling on NEW games. This affects several taverns, including Helnim's Red Drake and The Howling Noose in Firewatch. It looks like TR made some changes to the signage on their end.
As I said, running the patcher will not break anything anyway, so it is always safe to use. Anyway...are you sure that you can use Arukinns Banners and this together? maybe this is the point....
I didn't find any conflicts between them, but I'll uninstall Arukinns's and go only with this one. Actually i have a backup, clean install, I'll go from there, only TR and this one(patched).
tes3cmd delete --type cell "Unique Tavern Signs for Tamriel Rebuilt.ESP" (which gets rid of the changes to instances but leaves the changes to base objects alone) fixed my doubling with only minor side effects - a sign or two are now a different size or slightly moved, but there's only one of each.
@eddie5 thank you for sharing this. This is a great workaround and I think I'm going with it, because after "clean install and so on " is still the same - warnings & doubled signs. Cheers!
These are fabulous, very talented. I wish you would draw new signs for the taverns of Vvardenfell! The original vanilla Vvardenfell tavern signs feel lacking and out of place after seeing your TR signs. Please!
Thanks but those are low resolution textures and they don't fit in with a modern modded setup. And the artwork quality is low, not good enough to actually use. Those signs are guar skin instead of wooden signs like Rats' tavern signs, but the skins are blurry and look out of place alongside I.e. Lysol's Guar Skin Banners.

Thanks in advance!
I did a new setup(latest TR) and I've got the following warnings:
Current file "Unique Tavern Signs for Tamriel Rebuilt.ESP"
Cell "Firewatch"
Object reference "TR_m1_FW_inn_SilverSerpent"
missing in master file.
Current file "Unique Tavern Signs for Tamriel Rebuilt.ESP"
Cell "Firewatch Docks"
Object reference "TR_m1_FW_sign_nn01"
missing in master file.
Any help will be appreciated.
Cheers!

Anyhow, I decided to do the patching and sadly the result is still the same - warnings & doubled signs - Screenshot
