I'm not really sure where to post this but I really hope someone can help me. I used an automatic modpack for openmw called one day morrowind modernization and everything is working fine except npc's head/body color mismatch. I have multiple mods that alter npcs, but I have no idea how to make it so the body textures match the heads.

This is what it looks like in game

And these are the mods I have that affect npcs

So can anyone help figure out why the bodies aren't using the same textures as the heads?

For the MacKom's Humanoid Heads mod to work with Robert's Bodies, download: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/47481and then: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/47803?tab=description so the body and heads have the same color. This last mod must be installed after all the others, ensuring that it overrides all other mods.It worked for me; I hope it helps you too.By the way, the above information is from a Reddit post. The "textures" and "meshes" folders each have a "bb" folder that has the nude version of the BB assets for some reason. remove these from meshes and textures and it should be sfw.

comes with the Better Bodies mod apparently; there's a version w/underwear on that mod's page if you like the body but not the "dongs"

OK. This is how to get this to work. For people that want Mackom's heads on better bodies at least with minimum neck seam almost none existent. So first you download this mod: 1. MacKom's Humanoid Heads. Then you download better bodies. I choose this: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/42395. Called Better Bodies ZW on here on nexus.

Do not install the meshes and textures from better bodies ZW. You just want the ESP that is included and activate it. This is because Humanoid Heads already has a folder with a modified better bodies textures color tweaks and meshes that probably matches Mackom heads better. So just get the better bodies ESP. You want this ESP because without it you will have Mackom's heads on regular vanilla bodies.

After that, you want to download: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43795?tab=files which is Various tweaks and fixes and download Better Bodies meshes for Mackom's heads fixed pluginless. Last step: Missing neck fix for Mackom's better bodies: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44126. After you do this get Qwertyquit magnificent Expressive eyes for Mackom's Heads: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/47763. Also get his suggestions on his list on that page.

There you go! Enjoy Mackom's heads on Better Bodies. At least this is how I got mines to work and be acceptable.

Thanks a lot for this amazing guide ! Just an issue with me : "MacKom's Humanoid Heads" makes underwear disappear with "Better Bodies ZW" ; have you got the same problem ?

I guess you can try this as a last step if you want underwear and not naked. https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46431. Try installing this after all those steps. Last note I am on MGE-XE and not OPENMW. So this is more of a non-openmw guide and more of a manual install guide. So the files you put things into might be different. So there is that.

thanks for this. however the Dunmer is quite noticeable. I wish there was a fix, but since I rarely look at the body, it'll do. I still don't understand the whole MacKom issue, and I had no idea mod assets could be copyrighted. It's a shame too, I love this head pack.

I never play as a female, probably why I haven't notice this. Also you installed the neck-fix and still it did this? If so its a problem with Mackom's mod itself.

Still working! There's still a noticeable seam with the dunmer female even after the fix, but it's much better either way.

Thanks so much for this guide, I'd gotten so used to the neckseams existing that I'd given up on fixing them.

Anyone got the neck missing problem well fixed? (with few robes) Other wise it works fine.  "Tarhiel" robe for example or the falling wizard :D His blue extravagant robe stands out the most.... And hands remains old textures in first person >.<

I'm surprised over the years no one has noted the fact that Helseth is supposed to have cropped ears, like in the original mesh and according to lore

I'm an original player of Morrowind and decided to run it again for old times sake... but the facial and body graphics really aged badly. This Mod really brings things back to the fore for faces. I like seeing things clearly especially in a game that has you dealing with people so much and with the audible voice Mods this is great.

    Thankyou and endorsed.

p.s edit: how strange the site won't let me endorse, it seems to think I didn't download this! I'll try again later.

Some of the heads, i.e. the orc women, just don't show up in game for me. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: I don't know why, but installing Familiar Faces and loading it before this mod fixed this issue for me.

I'd love a compatibility for Julan that uses just this mod. Is there any chance someone has made that?

So, I kinda cheated with this one. (For anyone else that wishes to do this). Cherry pick what face and hair you'd like to use from this mod from its file source. You'll need four files, Both texture and mesh for hair and face - make sure you copy them and don't just remove them or else you'll create yourself a lot of problems with the actors that use them in game. Find Julans hair and face model in his mod folder - to access them on mod manager I highlight The julan companion mod and select "Open in explorer". Then replace and rename (Ks_Julan_face and Ks_Julan_hair) for textures,  (Ks_Julan_face.NIF and Ks_Julan_hair.NIF) for meshes. This should also remove clipping issues with the body if you use heads from this mod specifically - as the updated body was built to work with these heads.

Is there any such mod that makes Khajits and Argonians look more human like (for openMw) ?
