The plugin contains a dirty cell edit which retains a now outdated TR region name (Ascadian Bluffs). Automatic cleaning tools won't catch this as it differs from morrowind.esm, the cell record needs to be removed manually.
With all due respect, that’s not actually true. For example, this quest for the Fighter’s guild can be skipped, and you can still become Master of the guild: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:The_Code_Book “You can also skip this quest, and the remaining quests by Eydis Fire-Eye, and still get to be the head of both guilds by doing other quests.” In fact, if you were required to do all quests to become faction leader, then failing or refusing a single quest would make this impossible; obviously this isn’t the case. Becoming faction leader in the game scripts doesn’t check for number of quests completed: it checks for faction reputation and skill/attribute requirements. Hence, one can still rise to the top of a faction despite not having completed every available quest for said faction.
Thanks, much appreciated! It's not that I don't like TR, but it's a big mod and seems to require a lot of patches, so I'm keeping my install simple for now.
Thanks for the Non TR version. I've returned to Morrowind after an 8 year hiatus and now doing a mod build from the ground up. Tamriel Rebuilt is good but at this stage I don't want to complicate things. I also noticed your very fast response time to answer people and fix bugs. That in itself is the reason I'm installing this. Once again thank you.
Yes...the non TR version still has the dependancy of TR. Also it gave me a message in game: Ascadia Isle Bluffs is not present in regions or something along those lines. I suppose is because you still have the non-version with some code in there for TR still...since I googled...the bluffs and its part of TR it seems. So theres that. Can you fix please? thank you. I will download and install again when the error is corrected.
