Mod of the Day EP317 - Impact Sounds Showcase
In vanilla Morrowind, when you swung your weapon at an object, it wouldn't make a sound, it was as if it wasn't impacting anything at all, no clang, no recoil, no reaction, and consequently, no immersion.
But today's Mod of the Day fixes that, for today we're showcasing Impact Sounds by Archimag, a mod that makes it so, when you hit a surface or object with your weapon, it'll actually make a sound, bouncing off whatever material you hit, and, depending on the type of material, even cause sparks to fly!
Different types of materials will make different impact sounds, with notably different sounds for hitting metal, stone, grass, wood, glass, and weaved objects, including different sounds for different types of weapons! Not only that, but hitting a random object with your weapon will actually degrade it, with stronger materials, like stone and metal, harming your weapon more than others.
This is a simply fantastic immersive audio addition to the game, and pretty much a must-have for those looking to have a more immersive experience!
