Commenting to report a possible bug (but it's equally likely that I'm just being dumb): Installed as part of OpenMW's Total Overhaul & the verification script gave me the 100% OK after installing everything. I started a new game and wandered to Pelagiad straight from Seyda Neen still at level 1. I got the quest when one of the locals mentioned the well so I went to Ygfa and got the key. But now I'm at the well, which is capped off, and I'm not getting any way to interact with it? Like there's no description when I mouse over it (as in the box top-center saying the name when you look at a door), and I've run all the way around it trying to "open" it, but can't seem to get any sort of interaction.
Just to be absolutely certain that I'm not being an idiot here, I'm supposed to go into the well immediately west of the Trader, Mebestien Ence, yeah? If it's enter-able, should it also show an icon on the map like a door does? Because there isn't one on my map.
This was such a true RPG experience. I installed the game looking for this exact feeling. I've come across this quest quite early in my first playthrough, just after leaving Seyda Neen, so for me this was the first time I've found something valuable and fought hard for it...

Then the surprise area was really nice with its verticality and atmosphere. But then after receiving the gift I truly felt like I'm in an actual RPG, my actions having consequences. I loved the bait at the end, the NPCs leading me to a healer who is hidden in the farthest corner of the town just for her to simply say she can't help The blind amount was just right IMO, thankfully I didn't have any other blind effects on myself and I was playing in a dark room.
If you do the quest without getting the "Old Well" dialogue option and then getting the key from Ygfa when you return from Pyrite's realm with the journal entry to "talk to Ygfa for reward" you aren't able to hand in the quest because you don't have the dialogue option "Old Well". Attempts to get it from other NPCs also no longer work as you can no longer get them to give you the text prompt.
Double checked with another character to confirm an NPC that gives the quest prompt (Mebestien Ence) and a third character to see if I still wouldn't get the Old Well prompt if I started the quest without getting the key from Ygfa.
Interesting idea but seriously lacking in execution. The key can't be found with detect key and is hidden under an item. Peryites Realm is big and nicely put together but there is nothing to do in it except finding an NPC. Then you get Peryites gift and have to find to a specific person while blinded, which might be fun for a few minutes but this takes far too much time.
With a bit more play testing this whole quest could have been great, but currently it is just annoying busywork.
Two annoying things about this mod: First, the key not being marked as a key, so you can't find it with Detect Key. That's what that spell is for. For finding keys. Please mark the key as a key! Second: Peryite's Realm is there for talking to Peryite, and for talking to the Plaguemaker. On my first attempt to play this I fell down the walkways and then couldn't find the Plaguemaker, because the door leading to his room is like… the darkest, least obvious door in the whole map. Why is this lair so large? There's nothing to do in there apart from going to the Plaguemaker. I get you want a nice setpiece, but like… I spent more time looking for the Plaguemaker than anything else, and it wasn't fun, it was just frustrating.
Overall this left me with a more negative impression than this mod deserves, I guess. The idea is nice, and it's a cool quest. But it's made to be short, and spending an hour just running around aimlessly, climbing up rocks in desperation and clipping into geometry with incomplete colliders doesn't feel like it's part of the intended experience.
I don't derstand how " fun" this mod is, i'm a new plaer that just installed a mod list nd found out this was a mod and its so frustrating after receiving the blindness i can't see at all so idk how to get out i drown everytime bc guess what the mod creators ffound it "fun" to make you blind
git good, this is a well-crafted mod, don't install massive overhaul lists unless you're already familiar with vanilla. I can get around any city with blindness, look at the local map or the mini-map
This mod absolutely murders you if you have Hermaeus Mora as your religion in MTR's religion mod. The blindness effect really needs to be toned down, since the cumulative effect is 105% blindness.
Pretty interesting so far, but I think I might be stuck in the egg mine, maybe because of a conflict with other mods. Are you supposed to be able to interact with the plaguemaker? He doesn't react and just stands there doing nothing besides giving a disease just by standing next to him. Other than that and the scamp foreman, it feels like an enormous empty area with nothing to do except collect eggs and some loot, which seems like a waste imo.
Oh getting out isn't a problem, I got both amulets and got out no problem, but there seems to be no progression after getting in the egg mine, I was wondering if this was intentional or if there is an issue that can be worked around one way or another.

I have a small issue: When creating a new game (openmw), I get the black fadeout once (with its sound) at the very first second I'm spawned.
I checked your gg_eyeworm_script script, and a simple fix is to set the timer to 1 instead of 0 (default):
Begin gg_eyeworm_scriptshort doOnce
short Sound_doOnce
float timer
set timer to 1
...

If you did not grab the other amulet, just coc to Pelagiad.
