This is a great addition, I always use VSBR in my vanilla-like mod list because it goes so well with the original textures. Is there any chance you could fix the gap between the feet and pants when you go barefoot with VSBR as well? This is what I'm talking about.

There is a chance, but it won't happen any time soon, sorry. Maybe once new TR update comes out and I'll binge morrowind again.

Thank you so much for improving on VSBR!

Any chance you eventually add compatibility with the tattoo mod?

From what I've gathered it only needs an UV map that doesn't mirror itself symmetrically.

I mean, it seems like simple enough fix, but I can't test it out since I run Linux and can't be bothered to install MGE XE. I'll try once I have some free time, but no promises.

Okay, I looked into it and the mod page says it's incompatible with Familiar Faces because of the UV thing, but I'm almost sure FF uses vanilla UV map. Anyway, the VSBR's is another case, since it uses one texture for the entire body, as opposed to Vanilla/FF which have different textures for different body parts, it would take too much work to adapt the body for this, at least for me. It's kinda easier just to make tattoos specifically for VSBR, and that I *might* do if the mod's ever ported to OpenMW.

If you run Linux you must be using Wine yeah? MGE XE has been working in wine for like 3 or 4 years... You are also missing out on a ton of QoL features without it.

EDIT: Oh I realised you must be on OpenMW, sorry. I personally don't use it because it's not going to support a ton of what I consider some of the coolest mods.

MWSE-Lua makes use of bunch of functions which are unlikely to ever arrive to OpenMW-Lua.

thanks, have you thought about correcting the terrible crab-shaped hands? (which is noticeable in the 1st person casting position)

This is really the only reason I don't use it. It's a cool mod and mostly looks great but the hands are the thing you're staring at most of the time. It's a shame honestly.

Should be enough to use VSBR and simply assign the 1st person hands to a different body replacer (or vanilla).

I have it planned, actually, although I'm not sure I have technical skills required. Worst case scenario I'll make a replacer ESP which changes 1st person meshes to vanilla/some other body replacer with open permissions, like RandomPal said. Although if that's what you want you can just replace the first person meshes in the mod directly, it should work.

I tried to do this - it does NOT work because the hands in the first person consist of two parts: the hands with forearms and the shoulders.
So both parts need to be replaced, but the shoulders are involved in 3rd person models

s#*!, you're right. I'll look into this once I have the time, but I honestly have very little idea where to start.

That's just a hand replacer, we've discussed it. It doesn't solve the fundamental problem, which I'm not sure even is exactly. Rigging? Weights? Topology? I'll try switching the skeleton with BB for now and see how it goes.
