Hiya! I wasn't sure this was a bug, so I figured I'd post here instead. Is it normal that I'm hearing silt strider noises during Nirani's ritual in the Ahemmusa burial? I don't hear them until she actually does said ritual. Thanks for the fantastic quest, and for reading. More Ashlander content is always great to have, especially when it's this level of quality.
Huh. Strange. I'm on OpenMW 0.49, if that helps. Maybe the sound files for Nirani's voice are interacting weirdly or something? I know next to nothing about modding though, so I'm pretty much pulling that idea from nowhere.
I had a bit of an issue with this. Searching for the 1st burial site, went past it doubled back & found it. Saw the nix hounds. And Nirani levitating horizontally. She was dead. Thought maybe I'd triggered a nix hound attack & didn't save her in time. Used the console to make a copy. Things still seem to work find. Next location, the air burial. Found her dead. Had to raise her again. On to the next site, water burial. Go into the cave, she was dead. Raise her again. Get my instructions. Go to Urshilaku burial. Talk the Dremona into opening the cave. Found her inside, dead. Used to console to recreate her. Got the flowers. Saw her wandering around placing the flowers. Get a journal entry to go back to Manirai. Had to tell her Nirani was dead. Disposition drop and goodbye. Tried to use the journal topic md24_i_redwisdom to change things which was the topic in Manirai's dialogue when I went to the construction set. Topic does not exist. Looks like I'm just going to have to live with failing the quest. EDIT - it was actually j, not i. So used the journal command to complete the quest. Funny how Nirani kept turning up dead all the time.
When buying a guar skin, an entry is entered in the diary about where to look for Ashlander the poet. This corresponds to the topic "a few people" Both "50 gold" and "100 gold" have the parameter "Jurnal"md24_j_guarhide" 10" Maybe there should be "Jurnal"md24_j_guarhide" 1" - a record about the purchase of a hide. Also, when choosing the answer "50 gold", the topic "a few people" is not displayed
So excited to play this! Ive read great things about it in review articles. I'm in middle of a playthrough right now that uses mwse, mge, TR. Will I need to start a new game or can I add it mid playthrough? I'm done most faction questlines and halfway through main quest now.
Since this mod only adds things to the game, I think it should be relatively safe. As far as I am aware, we didn't move any vanilla references around which is generally a cause for issues with existing save games. And this is a separate quest, not tied to any vanilla quest progression.
I really enjoyed this. It was a lot simpler than I was expecting, but ultimately an enjoyable experience for that: just fleshing out some Ashlander lore and atmosphere.
However, the Daedra Lord was a bit out of left field. Given that the rest of it is basically without combat, having to fight a Daedra Lord was quite a task. In fact, my very low level Ashlander hunter had absolutely no chance - so I went and edited him out. Personally I think, either edit him to be a non-combat encounter or just remove?
Any load order recommendations? I know I asked on plague but making sure on this one. I just love how you and Doug on are essentially expanding the official canon.
Hello MD and team. Thank you for making the mod. I have gone to great lenghts trying to make Nirani walk properly with MWSE version on vanilla engine. She fell in the water every time. At start of the cave I did PlaceAtPC + set stage 80 for like 10+ times, and she always fell in the water. I even tried to help with some tcl commands, but still it was not right. Even reinstall didn't work. The only thing that worked was re-installing the mod and using vanilla option. NPC pathing worked like a charm from the first time in this case.
This mod didn't feel like a mod, felt like a vanilla quest, good oportunity to walk half the map and do stuff on the way. Furthermore it forced me to learn console commands to try to make it work. What an amazing journey!
I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble with her pathing! We did a lot of testing, but that was definitely the quirkiest part. We'll see if it can be improved in an update. But I'm glad that overall you enjoyed the mod!
