Reworks the rewards for the Mages Guild quests, adds new pre-rewards and new variations of the Wizard Staff. Rebuilt from scratch in v2.0 for compatibility.

Design Goals
I wanted to...
               Make Morrowind's guild experience more like Daggerfall
               Make the Mages Guild experience rival the modded Telvanni experience
 
One thing I like about Daggerfall:
My favorite thing about Daggerfall's factions is that there's something for everyone. You can become an Archmage without killing a single thing (animal or person). You cannot do this in Morrowind.
In Morrowind, you must sabotage another mage's research, are basically forced to steal from another mage, and are forced to kill someone. A lawful or pacifistic mage would have a lot of trouble.
On one hand, the moral quandary could be good character development. On the other hand, why CAN'T you say "no thanks" and have one of the dozens of other Guild members do it? Why does it have to be YOU?
So, I decided to adopt Daggerfall's approach of: You are one mage in an entire guild of other mages. We'd be very happy if you did these quests, but ultimately, we have dozens of other people who can also do it. The quests will get done with you or without you.
 
As for the Telvanni Experience:
As a Telvanni, you get to Learn Spells, Get Valuables, and Make a Cool Tower.
The vanilla Mages Guild doesn't teach you a single spell.It's a bit of a problem imo when House Telvanni is more invested in education than an actual institution of education. So I changed a few quests so that you actually get taught spells before or afterwards.
For valuables, House Telvanni gives you enchanted items that can be used again and again. But the Mages Guild literally only gives you scrolls and potions. I changed this, so now there's a few items in the mix.

Option to turn down/skip quests entirely,
  • But there are consequences – namely, you don’t get the reward, preward, and guild reputation boost. IF YOU SKIP TOO MANY QUESTS, YOU CAN LOCK YOURSELF OUT OF PROMOTIONS.  If you have Tamriel Rebuilt, it’s not a problem since you can make up for the missing points on the mainland.
