Would black soul gems crafted using this mod work for the case of Necromancy? Or would it have to be soul gems made using your mod? I imagine the two having soul trapping mechanics would become redundant. But I like the method of crafting them using the other mod.
for now it is almost the same, my mod is written in lua check for example how reanimating works and how soul trap work (you can use custom spell with soul trap effect and trap whole balmora in single cast :D)
Oh wow, finally scripted necromancy for openmw! It really is Christmas in July! I always wanted to try the crafting approach done with 'Necrocraft'. Having to collect all the pieces and take them to the lair to stitch them back together. Or like the 'Way of the Necromancer' with the cannibalized body parts. Maybe some new potion or alchemical embalming process would work. It might also be neat to have a way to utilize ancestral tombs, perhaps some divination-style necromancy of talking with spirits, or tricking them into your service. tl;dr I think most of my ideas revolve around making necromancy feel more viceral and nasty, performing grizzly vivisection experiments and graverobbing like Dr. Frankenstein. Doing things that you must keep secret or become a fugitive from normal society. That make you work for your power rather than just having a pile of bones in your inventory and soultrapping some bandits so you can cast "summon skeleton (but its permanent this time)" It should feel more like Alchemy than Conjuration. Regardless, I'm excited to see whatever you come up with. Looking forward to this new Lua finally bridging the gap with MGE. Thanks for all your work!
