Just gave this a spin, very well done! The refuge itself is very atmospheric (I cracked a smile at the otherwise tough guy being afraid of the store room) and I really liked the tomb investigation.
For anyone wondering why Little Landscapes - Nix Hound Hunting Grounds is incompatible, it's because it adds a bunch of rock statics that get in the way. It's an easy minute spent in the editor to delete/move a few. As far as my playing saw, nothing else was required. Not directed toward anyone in particular, I'm staying out of patch permission politics, just a heads up for anyone out there not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the two to play nice together - it's super easy.
Hey Kat, Ive been doing some testing and can confirm that the Nix hound patch is still incompatible for the reason that it completely burries the entrance to Andrethi tomb, it doesn't matter if loaded before or after, or a new game. The entrance is buried. I have informed Luce and just wanted to let you know because of the pinned comment. Thank you my friend.♥️
Download page states need for Morrowind Code Patch, but description page doesn't list MCP in requirements. So if player doesn't use MCP then mod will crash game. Players rely on the requirements drop down menu to decide whether to DL mods. Just like the recent trend to skip mod readme's in the download file, this mod is yet another example of focus on production, instead of quality, all in hopes of chasing contest completion and recognition. Nexus probably needs a QC rating on DL's so that users can know how complete mods actually are, given the rushed and incomplete nature of modern contest mods. If a mod requires a prelim mod in order to function properly and that requisite mod isn't listed in the requirements drop down then the mod is patently incomplete. Same goes for a readme that lists all requirements, load order, authors, basic mod description, and anything else the user might need to know in the future. A game with 2 decades of lifespan and authors long gone creates a situation where users are wholly dependent on readmes years later if they have any hope to manage mod usage. Clearly the authors are relying on users having access in the future to the info listed on the Nexus page to cover these missing bits. We all saw how well that worked with Fliggerty and numerous other defunct Morrowind DL sites.
I've finally given the Refuge a download and a look, and this really is wonderful! I love the look, I love the mystical spookiness, and I love how it just feels like it fits right into Vvardenfell. Like it's always been there! You've inspired me to do better with my own work.
Thank you for putting so much work and effort into this, it's amazing! <3
It seems I have some missing assets in the interior. Could it relate to OAAB data? I recently updated, or I thought I did. I'm trying to share images but this website makes it difficult. Ah maybe this works: Image
