There are two variables for each siege weapon "is_ranged" : Which place the siege weapons in the first plane if they are set to true (ballista, trebuchets) and in the background if set to false Those in the foreground will take damage and those in the background will not. But there are only 4 slots in the foreground and 2 slots in the background "damage" and "hit_chance" : Which I can set to 0 to disable siege weapon damage, but they will continue to fire without doing damage It will make them indestructible during the preparation of the siege, but I don't know the impact that it will have during the siege EDIT : I posted an alternative version of the mod with the siege weapons which should be indestructible, see for yourself in the files tab of the mod.
I tested your mod and works fine. The attack animation appear in the campaign map but the siege machines dont cause any damage to another. The visual result is very cool in the battle. Many onagre bullets launched during the battle. I believe so that many players will like that, because actually is impossible to fight a battle with a complete siege equipament (they are been destroyed in the campaign map before the battle). what i think should be done, is that ladders need to be built instead of naturally appearing on the map..now, ..im not saying the modder should do that..or can...I think sieges should be more thought..like Mount and Blade: Warband or Mount and Blade: Viking Conquest. Sieges took time, and there one had to worry about the small skirmishes during siege set up , and moral and food, and not to mention armies coming to defend. I really enjoyed the Viking Conquest sieges as far as their difficulty goes..maybe it will be an option later on, or perhaps the devs in time will improve upon it when they have other priorities fixed or done
