Hey, other users of the Novus launcher have encountered the same problem as you, and the solution was provided by @Saphariel : "go to SubModule, open in notepad, multiplayer value instead of true change to false, and save, you should be able to see it in Novus launcher now"
For whatever reason, Vlandian Steel Items comes up as read-only and can't be installed through Vortex. The other files work fine, and I was able to install manually. This is the only .zip in the Vortex roaming/downloads folder that can't be accessed due to needed "administrator privileges" (I am the admin). Not sure what's up with that.
It's very strange indeed. And even though I have no idea why, I think that since I've never had this feedback before, somehow the “problem” is on your side.
I use RBM and My little warband. what I wanted to do is to change loadout for troops, so that the infantry has spears.
The problem is that there are so many variations of kit for one troop, that it takes forever to click all the equipment slots to change them (900+ slots for last tie infantry)
Are there any recommendations on how it is possible to change it in bulk?
Had an issue where vanilla troops weren't replaced when recruiting but I had them in the encyclopedia smh. It appears it was only a matter of mod order, I placed it near the end of the list and it worked (with only Governor Handle Issues, Save Cleaner and Save Cleaner Diplomacy submod). So if you run into a similar issue maybe this could help
Thanks for your feedback, the mod is working now but I'm working on a totally reworked version of the mod.
Anyway, whether it's this version or the next one, setting Vs as low as possible in your load order is the best way to get it to work anyway, since the game loads mods from top to bottom and each mod overwrites what it modifies, whether it's vanilla or modded.
Hi! Do you know if Vlandian Steel/Swadian Armory is compatible with BattleSize? Meaning are textures and LOD optimized enough to go over the base game's 1000 troop cap? Open Source Armory and OTA and such are texture heavy and not optimized in that way so going over 1000 troops in a battle just crashes the game.
Hi, I'm not sure about SA anymore, but it seems to me that ADSN has put up to lod 5 for its items, whereas for VS I've added lods to all my items to try and optimize the mod for big battles. But I can't promise that I'll be able to hold out once the 1000 troops mark has been passed.
Have you tried custom battles (if BattleSize works with them) ?
Thanks for the reply - That's good to hear at least. I haven't tried yet, but thinking about giving it a go to test Battlesize and Vlandian Steel. It has been tough finding armor mods in this game that hold out past 1000 troops in a siege or field battle...Vanilla works but textures and LOD become too much in custom made armors (I blame the Bannerlord Engine...). VS looks fantastic for sure!
Once I give it a go, I'll reply back here. I'm sure others have already tested it, but I can't find any evidence in the comments here so may as well update anybody looking for info between VS and BattleSize at least.
Alrighty, I tested it. Looks like I can get up to 1600 troops on the field at once (800v800) consistently. Anything past that, it just crashes on the loading screen. That was tested with no Cavalry and an assortment of infantry and archers units on both side, all VS units on both sides as well. I'll take this as a win! Some of the other Armor mods I can barely make it past 1000 on the field without it just crashing as soon as you hit ready.
That's actually not bad at all. Tested with a 7900XTX and a 7800x3D PC and performance didn't dip all that much to be a noteworthy hit. Also, for the sake of info here - only tested in Custom Battle. MODS: RBM, Vlandian Steel, Swadian Armory, and BattleSize. Maxed settings at 4K.
Would it be possible to get a version that just does the Lord changes? I like Bannerlord Overhaul but those troop trees go up to tier 7 so Vlandian Steel's troop trees don't really slot in well balance-wise. On top of which, Bannerlord Overhaul doesn't change lord equipment.
No, sorry, that's not planned. But you can get this result by deleting the files corresponding to the parts of the mods you're not interested in in the ModuleData folder, and by removing the associated Nodes in the SubModule.xml file at the root of the mod.
Not in the program, but you can always delete what you don't like in the mod's ModuleData folder, then delete the nodes you don't need in the SubModule.xml file.
