IF YOU ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS, I WILL NOT RESPOND.
Q: Will this mod be coming to Steam Workshop? A: No.
Q: Does this work for version x.y.z? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does. If it doesn't; I do not support versions that I don't personally play. You can pay me on my Patreon up to the 2nd tier (~10 USD) if you want me to compile for your version.
Q: Does this work with (insert other mod name here)? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does.
Does it work on individual clan members? Say I've joined a kingdom through normal means, but if I talk to a character of a different kingdom's clan, can my character join their clan without their own clan tagging along?
Great mod, however it's a bit weird the outcomes, didn't expect this ! Using ROT, I married Daenarys, which is ruler of the clan targaryen + queen of her kingdom. I managed to join houses, it worked but : She only gave me her fief, dragonstone, and joined my clan, with ALL her members (I now have 38 family members, wth !). The targaryen clan was destroyed, but the kingdom house targaryen endured, with a new leader, and all clan leaders stayed in this kingdom along with their fiefs. I thought I would rule all her kingdom + mine ? Could this be because she had more renown than I ? If so, she has around 10k, so I guess I won't be able to do this at all.
Thanks
Edit : gave it a new try, just to see. I abdicated my kingdom and joined houses again, and this time I had the entire kingdom of hers. However, of course I lost mine lol, including policies and the lords I had. Edit 2 : I'm using latest version for 1.2.12. Now, when keeping my kingdom and joining houses, one of my new member becomes ruler of the targaryen faction ! Tried to talk to him, but obviously it crashed, since he can't be my vassal AND ruling the remaining faction. I guess I can't use this mod if I'm a king. Too bad, was a great idea.
Game crushes when I press "We should join our houses" while trying to marry Olek (or any other NPC) as a female. Happens both with and without "Marry Everyone". Here's the report: https://report.butr.link/E61055
If I try to use the command it marries my character, but houses stay separate and nothing changes, except for Olek saying "My wife", still acts as an avarage noble.
I also noticed that there is no config.txt file anywhere. And I mean anywhere -- it isn't in the mod
I know this is super old but for anyone else thinking its missing - its configurable in the MCM config so the config.txt is not needed in the latest version(s).
does anyone know what affects if i join their clan or them mine, i join the baratheon clan in realm of thones but i cant seem to join bolton they keep joining mine.
i been messing around with it more that doesnt seem to be it my clan renown is at 2 and im trying to join a 5/6 renown clan but my clan remains and not theirs.
You're in luck as I have the answer for you. Simple answer......... YES IT PERFECTLY DOES. BEEN USING IT SINCE DECEMBER WITH OTHER MODS! No crashes attributed to it either. Enjoy! (Currently moving to 1.2.8 thus revisiting this mod for updates, and reading through posts to see if it is good for 1.2.8).
Yes, In November. So, the question was actually; "does this work for the latest version?" To which then, Semp had asked the same question, indirectly, again for v1.2.8.
An updated version that works for the latest Bannerlord can be found on the mod page linked above.
You should make a mod where you can join any clan as a family member, this "Join Houses" mod only lets you join a clan if their leader is the opposite gender and if you want to join their clan not for the wife but only to be part of the clan, then your stuck with that wife and cant marry someone better in the game.
ok then explain to me how my entire clan joined the empire and the ruling clan no less and were not in charge of anything for over 50 in game yrs as the current ruler would not bloody leave his dam castle he finally died of old age and as we were the most powerful clan still within the faction with the most land we won the vote for the new ruler by so much it made the other clans unable to even sway the vote to another
what do you mean by that, when i choose "we should join our houses and consider marriage each other" option she says that, so i don't have any other choice, what can i do for that
Directly from mod page description: If you have enough relation with the hero, they will agree. More details on this found in config.txt
Directly from config.txt: -- GENERAL CONFIG -- baseRelationNeeded=35.0 > Set the base relation needed for acceptance of joining houses proposal. 35 by default The math done to calculate relation needed proceeds as follows with 35; - If the player is a ruler, subtract 40 - If the other hero is a ruler, add 50 - For every tier in the player's clan, subtract 8 - For every tier in the other hero's clan, add 10
Looking around and reading things will usually help you with your problem, as 99% of the time; your question is not unique.
got a city so I am not a homeless bum got a 100 relationship to make sure
I ask to join a house, I am faced with "I don't think so." fml
I tried looking for the config.txt to check if there's something to edit, but I can't find the file for the life of me, any ideas?
edit: nevermind I found the config.txt because I am using mo2 it was in the 'override' folder, turns out the quickmaff is more complex than I thought it to be and this was the most difficult clan to marry into

This mod's code is likely on my GitHub, if it's not, feel free to DM me if you'd like to update it to latest Bannerlord versions.

yea feel free to make the edits
it's... it's right there guys.

And it does exactly that, and will continue to do so.
Your mod idea would not work in the game's code very well, as the player is hard scripted to be a clan leader and to make all the choices.
If you have enough relation with the hero, they will agree. More details on this found in config.txt
Directly from config.txt:
-- GENERAL CONFIG --
baseRelationNeeded=35.0
> Set the base relation needed for acceptance of joining houses proposal. 35 by default
The math done to calculate relation needed proceeds as follows with 35;
- If the player is a ruler, subtract 40
- If the other hero is a ruler, add 50
- For every tier in the player's clan, subtract 8
- For every tier in the other hero's clan, add 10
