Unsure if it's the recent update or something on my end, but the Maidens don't have their own fiefs whenever I play the game. So essentially, they don't actually have a base of operations. Nothing crashes, or shows that it isn't otherwise working correctly except that the Maidens just don't have their own base/fief to operate from. I have this mod below the base mod in the load order, should I change that, or does this one just need updated for the recent December update?
Edit: K, I did find a town that has a steel maidens base, but you wouldn't know it was there without first entering the town. I coulda sword that originally there was an easier way to check if a town had one or not?

Ensure that you are using the correct mod version for the correct game version. Read the file descriptions on the file page to see which file is for you.
so i got it fixed figured that out but i was wondering how i can stop it from crashing well i am mid game like i started a new campaign and it worked perfectly fine then it just started crashing would i have to use the companion patch to stop it from crashing my game?
It depends on which crash you are facing. The companion patch fixes a known crash that can come from this mod. However, if the crash you are facing is another type of crash, I will need the error report generated by butterlib.
You can try downloading that companion patch first to see if it helps for you. The companion patch was made optional due to some users who have never experienced that crash before.
To update on your crash report, I personally don't think this mod is the cause. Have you tried disabling this mod before running the game to see if it still works?
too be honest i am new to modding and idk how to tell what it is but it crashes now every time i go near or stay in battania lol before it was ummmm vladians area
so i started a new game and i think its the hero's you can recruit from the operation base it hasnt crashed yet since i havent recruited a single one yet but ill give further info if it crashes without recruiting a single one mmm it isnt the mod maybe one of the UI or MCM or something i have no clue xD!!

While using Serve as a Soldier and in a lord's army, I get a crash whenever entering a vlandian tournament. Tournaments work fine when not serving as a soldier though. I also had crashes when serving as a soldier when certain lords first entered certain towns that also pointed to this. Removing this mod fixed those crashes. Apart from that, I've enjoyed the mod without any major issues. Anything I can do to make these two play nice with each other?

Every one of them has a different first name, they immediately flood the tournaments too. (I start empire) Even with all the other (not necessary mods) deactivated this is the case.
I tried your v.1.0.0 and v.1.0.3., both show that behavior.

PS: my first guess was the namespecification in your wanderer.xml, but even with a fixed first name they spawn in dublicates.
Hello! To answer your question, only a few of them are bugs that I am currently fixing. These are all that are not bugs:
at the start of the game none of the companions is present
I removed the companion spawning at the start of the game due to certain overhauls mod causing crashes with it. Now the companions will only spawn after the 1st or 2nd day. You can use the refresh button to skip the waiting time if you want.

Are you sure they are the same character, or are they just sharing the same name? Bannerlord has a limited amount of names that it can use to generate new characters, and will cause some characters to have the exact same names. This is base game behavior which the mod is not meant to solve. However you can download other mods that adds more names to see more variety.

It's normal for wanderers to participate in tournaments as this is base game behavior. However it's a bug as steel maiden wanderers should only appear in Vlandian cities & tournaments. I am working to patch this for the next mod version.
after I load a game for the 1st time, I suddenly have 30 Cavalry Commanders, 30 Steel Machinists, 30 Field Medics, 30 Steel Blademasters,... in the game. All of your 5 new companions are there 30 times each. (each with a different name, as if they would be created with every name from a list of female names)
Was this many of them intended? - I thought the mod would add just 5 companions flat, not 5 x 30 of them.
PS: that´s why I say flood the tournaments, in some tournaments no less then 8 of them were present at once
It's based on the mod settings. Default settings should only spawn 5 per vlandian cultured town. However, the mod currently spawns X number of companions in every town.
Edit: This mod adds 5 different companion types, not the character themselves. The mod's default setting will then spawn 5 companions from those 5 different companion types in every vlandia town.
