‘My peasant always has a negative experience’. Go and complain to TaleWorlds who have chosen a very strange way of making their troops. In fact, the ‘elite’ peasants have a problem with negative values that I can't touch, quite simply because the troops have lower skill stats than their levels. As a result, they appear with a lack of ‘Skills’ and experience in relation to their level. There's nothing I can do about that. Play with Paysans on qualitative overhauls (Realm Of Forgotten, Old Realms) which have the intelligence to make troops balanced in relation to their level. 3 days of my life lost.
I had a chance to talk to the super modder LL Mule (Creator ofServe A Soldier. Go for it!) who was very constructive about the road ahead for Peasant.
In line with micromanagement and a persistent world based on your actions, I'll soon be putting a version online featuring a drastic impact on companions and the possibility of marriage depending on your relationship with the current village notables.
Peasant 2.0 will be the starting point for a succession of micro-updates on the villages and those, independently (I like stable and modular games, filled with 150 mods that work together!). That's all I'm saying!
Don't forget to follow the mods and share them. I love reading your comments and responding to them.
PS :A first version is due to be released very soon
I like the change you made. To must have at least a little reputation with the notables, before they give one of their village maidens away, makes the marriage more immersive. Thanks for your effort, I like this mod a lot.
Hello thanks for this mod, does this mod spawns heroes in the game ? I know you can recruit peasants, but does it spawn random wanderers in villages ? I mean, I have duplicate heroes names and looking for the mod causing it. Thanks
Thank you for Updating the Mod it's a much better way to get nice Companions, especially to make history with them from lowly Peasants to Legendary Warriors :D
Kinda a shame that i cannot Promote my Troops to Companions XD
I think I was on the previous version. Just saw there's a new one uploaded today. Gonna use this one and see what happens... hopefully it's save game compatible.
OK, I'm on the latest version of the mod and game version 1.2.11.45697.
Sadly some of the "Peasants" that I recruit still go into the troop tree lists in the encyclopedia as a separate troop type, that if you click on corresponds to a Tier 1 recruit but with a single personal name. The weird part is after some time I started getting the option to recruit higher tiers of "peasants" from the villages, like Tier 2, 3 and 4 troops and I am only Clan Tier 1. I have no idea if that is a feature or a bug since I had not seen such "peasants" in my other save, but I can do it. Strangely it seems those higher tier "peasants" that start at a higher level as a companion and have better skills are the ones that get listed in the encyclopedia and not the ones that are like level 5 with no weapons or gear. Also the initial "peasants" that I could recruit at the start of the game are fine XP wise, but the higher tier ones are suffering from the negative XP bug.
I don't know if this is how the mod behaves for now or a conflict with other mods I use but for now I'll refrain from using it.
Amazing mod though! And the fact it is independent of Harmony or any other mods is impressive. So keep up the amazing work, I am sure people love it.
Hello ! Thanks for your comment, I'll answer every little question: Concerning the troop bug, it's not a conflict, but a bug. It's unlikely that I'll fix this bug outside Harmony, as I'm using M&B's “friendly” methods to generate heroes.
Case two, yes, it's totally normal to be able to have high-level troops in peasants, as the peasant selection pool is generated from the troops supplied by the village. It's perfectly logical to recruit a higher TIER peasant if the notables only supply high-level troops ;) Regarding the error concern, I'll let you have a look at the first message pinned above. Overall, it's not a bug, but it comes with the TalesWorlds stats and levels calculation system. There's no XP problem for low-level troops because they don't have any skills, but for T4/T5 troops it's quite normal, because their skill XP is much higher than their current level.
I spent several hours on the problem without solving it. You'd also have to use Harmony to solve this problem, because in my case, when I create a hero, my methods are overwritten by the native game, so any patch (I think) is impossible.
The aim of all my mods is to remain independent of Harmony, for the following reason: Allow maximum compatibility between mods.
Nevertheless, I'm planning a future version that will add focus and skill bonuses to simplify the start-up of farmers, who take far, far too long to upgrade their skills.
I am experiencing something strange with Peasants - Redux v1.2.1 (latest).
As soon as I enter a village and proceed to the peasants recruitment-screen, all my family members are removed from the encyclopedia (whether I recruit a peasant or not). Not sure what happens when completing the Radagos-quest. For this test, I had only "Peasants - Redux"-mod active. Bannerlord v.2.10.
I did try to complete the Radagos-quest with my full mod-set. As before, family members are removed when entering the recruitment-screen. When I completed the Radagos-quest, I started getting clones of my older brother, one of which would show up in encyclopedia.
There is a litte quirk in this good mod. The villagers while being companions are registered by the game as 'supporters' becoming an infinite source of influence (regardless of the fact if you have got a fief or not). I suppose it is not intended.

First of all, thank you for languishing around my three redux mods:
Rulership - Petitioners - Redux
Peasants - Redux
Rebuild Looted Villages - Redux

Suggestion for a spinoff mod or addon to this is that children coming into the world is low level also.

Mav Expanded Clan it's another way to recruit anything AND can upgrade u troop to companions
Is there any way to remove the people you have not hired from the encyclopedia?
Also is there a Mod Options menu, because I don't see one and I've been wondering if my load order or game version(1.2.11) could be the reason?
In the new version, peasant must be removed. Don't hesitate to share a screen with me if peasant 1.3.0 isn't.
