I haven't tested the 2040 limit yet, but it goes above the vanilla limit of 1000 so I think it'll work up to there. There should be no bugs. If it doesn't work for some reason, then check if you had the dependent mods. Your game might slow down or crash if your computer can't handle the number of units.

edit: Forgot to mention, it doesn't show up in the battle size option menu (in case you were looking there and seeing it as 500 or something). It overwrites it and if you want to edit the value, you have to open the config file to change it. It will work in-game.
How to you enable the battle size settings in shadow tweaks mod? Im looking at the config but none of the settings indicate its for increasing battle size. any help is much appreciated!
Shadow Tweaks is great, but the battle size doesn't work properly. It crashes during large cavalry battles as it doesn't remove the unused horses from the battlefield causing the unit counter to eventually exceed the games maximum, resulting in a crash.
Edit: Disregard, my issue was related to ragdolls not horses. If anyone is having issues with crashing on large battles, try setting ragdolls to 0, it seems to have fixed my problem.
basically if you use a mod that adds more units into battle, it will crash with this mod. Carrier adds banner carriers as extra troops aside from your main army.
If I remember correctly, the game engine simply can't handle more than 2048 units. For purposes of the mod, horses are counted as units. This is why the original Battlesize Unlocker mod recommended a maximum setting of 1024, which is a maximum of 1024 units for each side.
Im playing on 1.2.11 & the battle tweaks work perfectly, especially with the option to kill horses along with their units,
I think an issue im running into is this mod messes up deployment, changing the way troops are registered. I'm getting archers in my mounted archers formation at the start of every battle, plus a few other minor but annoying issues.
I think the sally out logic of the mod "Art of War" conflicts with battle size mod (or vice versa). Exception window identifies Battle Size for a "system.indexoutofrangeexception".
So far, disabling sally out logic in art of war has not resulted in a crash since I have turned it off in the same scenario/save.
I just downloaded this and Love it, i also noticed in custom battles it stops it from going over the hard cap. For example if you put 1000 horsemen on each side, it will only spawn 500 each side to avoid hitting the hard cap. is there a way to make this work in sandbox/campaign?
Horses count as entities, meaning if the Entity Limit is 2000, then 1000 Horsemen equals 1000 Horses + 1000 Men, i.e. 2000 Entities. If it does it regardless, might be a custom battle specific issue.
ive tested the limits of the mod it'll usually let me fight if its about 1000v1000 to about 1500v2500 sometimes 1500v2000 but any higher it will freeze on the battle loading screen and i have to alt f4 my game ive tried battling about 3000v3000 and it hates that. the 1000v1000 seem to run fairly smoothly some stuttering but the 1500+ battles sometimes freeze then keep going after a minute its hard sometimes and higher it wont let me even get to the deployment screen. like its not that it crashed in battle or anything it just wont work when i try to get in the battle if there's too many (my pc can 100% handle stuff like this btw) its maybe the fact that the game wasnt supposed to allow this ammount of troops
Bannerlords engine can only handle 2048'ish entities, after that it becomes unstable but horses also count as an entity which is why it is capped at 1000 by default.
There's a siege battle in my campaign that has 1600 on both sides and I have my siege battle size set to 2000 but I still crash. Is the game trying to put all 3200 units in the battle? Shouldn't there only be 2000 and the rest spawn in later as reinforcements?

I'm running with no such mod but it still crashed.

Game version: v1.2.11
I do have many mods so could be a conflict.
