Turns out even just running 2x friendship is a bad idea. This game is really badly coded. It doesn't check any dependencies. You get loads of quests for things you can't make or for areas you can't enter. They are all timed. You can't choose not take them either as any interaction with a character auto accepts them. You are gonna end up failing entire quest chains as they can't be done. You also end up with so much time pressure from having a dozen timed quests at once.
I can run version 1.0 of this mod, but I can't seem to get the favor multiplier (version 1.1) to run. It always says it "needs restart," even though I've uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled the mod.
When using version 1.1, my error code looks like this:
[Socialize] Version '1.1.0'. Loading [Socialize] [Error] Error trying to call 'Socialize.Main.Load'. [Socialize] [Exception] TargetInvocationException - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation [Socialize] Not loaded
I have no other mods that affect relationships nor socializing.
Be very VERY careful using this mod. Had friendship multiplier on 20 to avoid having to have 1000 conversations with every NPC to max them. There is a bug that occurs randomly (but very frequently) where you get a massive friendship spam when interacting with someone that will max out all the NPCs. Im sick and tired of redoing my day. On the first day I got the mod, I had to redo the day 3 times. Now I was at the very end of the day and...again the bloody loop ruined the game for me. This is far too unstable to be of any use.
Edit: Well seems like I figured out what happens with this mod. When your relationship status with someone changes, a lot of related characters get a +12 bonus which is getting boosted by this mod (so at 20x they get +240). This causes other characters to change relationship status and trigger their own +12 (+240). This results in an endless spiral of continuous relationship status changes of each character boosting up everyone else. The solution would be to make status changes exempt from boosting.
not a bug with the mod, it's an error with you. It's said in the game that when you raise your relationship level with an npc, you also gain favor with anyone immediately close to them. That can chain react when you have a favor multiplier that high, leading to an endless loop of raising favor with everyone that knows anyone until eventually they're all maxed.
I know the author for this mod is not around anymore, but an upgrade for this is appreciated. Hate going Wikia to check which NPC likes what every time.
Sadly for me it is not working. I am not sure if I did something wrong, but no matter what I tried, this mod does not seem to work. I tried different older UMM version too, back to 1.13.1, but still nothing. The mod appears to be green in the ingame manager, and the options are all ticked on. It is a shame, because this looks like a very helpful mod, since the characters in Portia are way too many.
-Edit- It seems it is partially working? I just realized I can see the actual numerical values in the socialize screen of how people like me, but it still does not show in item descriptions who likes the items I gave em.
-Edit 2- Finally the display gift options worked for me! I activated the cheat option to see all gifts and it started working. Even after I disabled the cheat option, the values of items remained in the description, but only the ones I have ever gifted =)
Good mod, I rarely ever comment I do have 1 gripe which is not a bug per say but more incompatibility with cheat engine when trying use a lua script that does aob scans to find the proper addresses in this case npc relationship levels. With the mod off it work perfectly the scans but with mod on the script complains it cannot find the aob directives. My question is, does this mod alter "npcRelationship"? (the directive cheat engine complains about) or perhaps lock it out somehow? Any idea what I can do on my end for the mod and cheat engine to play nice together?
I downloaded this mod but i can not pull this mod uo in game what is the buttons i use or what do i do to get it? ive tried pressing CRT with every button andf FN but no luck with pulling this mods options up
