So for some reason, every single traffic car and cop car are usable, but some of them have no stats at all and if you do use them in a race, the game won't let you move. Also, I have access to the 100% completion car without doing anything. I'm not sure if I installed it wrong or something, but it's a little bit annoying. I do wanna keep the ability to buy the M3 GTR's though, for some reason they all cost 500k and all NPC vehicles say "Locked until you beat Blacklist racer 16, Rog". Super confusing but really funny. The installation instructions can be found in the description of this mod here on Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/needforspeedmostwanted2005/mods/20?tab=description
Scroll down to the installation section. There you can find simple instructions. You just need to copy paste one folder to the folder where Need for Speed Most Wanted is located.
You're welcome and thanks a lot for your comment! :) Agree, combined with other texture mods, the results are really nice. I'm really a sucker for small details, especially when it comes to really small things that are often overlooked by other modders.
Hey man, it has been a while since I've played and modded the game, but I will still try to help you as good as I can.
First of all a kinda stupid question maybe: are you sure that all files have been replaced/overwritten properly? Any errors while trying to copy the files? Maybe a program or the game itself is blocking the copy process.
Do you have installed any mod manager or loader? If I remember correctly, there is one mod manager/loader that creates a folder called "MODS" or "Mods" in the root folder of the game. In case you have that folder, you need to copy the "CARS"-folder to the mods folder to make it work. But caution: if you have mods installed that modify any of the files located in the CARS folder already, you will overwrite them. So keep that in mind and check if there is a CARS folder located in the mods folder already.
This is a bit late of a comment but I did come here to mention a very small visual issue I've had with the mod.
Lemme just first say this is a really nice texture mod. I'm honestly shocked how good it looks. That said I've noticed only one issue so far
The insides of where the wheel is held is like see-through or reflective in an odd way? (I can get a picture if you want.)
This seems issue is a bit pretentious and it probably is. Since it's most likely my fault for this, I am using a couple of other mods. More specifically I am using this together with the "Most Wanted REDUX" mod(pack?) and they work quite hand in hand I must say.
First of all thanks a lot for your feedback/compliment, I really appreciate that!
The issue is known, it's not your fault. Back when I created this mod around 2 years ago I couldn't figure out what was causing that issue. Either it was a mistake on my side because I didn't know how to convert/export the rim/wheel textures properly (made my first real experiences with texture editing etc back then, I'm not really a designer) or it was an issue of the limited modding tools that were available back then. I can't really tell you. As far as I remember it didn't happen on the rims of all cars, which made it even more curious for me. So sorry, but unfortunately I can't help you out there :/
I might try to provide a version without the wheel textures, but don't expect that any time soon because I'm completely out of the NFS modding topic and I don't know if I will ever get back to it.
Btw: If someone reads this and knows a fix for this issue, make sure to contact me. I would really appreciate it! You will be credited for the solution ofc.
As commendable & appreciated if you did do a seperate download wich excluded the rim/wheels for a possible fix. You stated that you quit with NFS modding (for the moment, I am not the one to say you have permanently ended). I can respect that decision and only say
What a time to be alive . never thought i would see mods for Nfs mw just a normal request but can you make a pack of all your mods in one place named Heico Texture Overhaul for NFS MW 2005
The Need for Speed series has a relatively large modding community for years already. Make sure to check out NFSCars: https://www.nfscars.net/ and NFSMods: https://nfsmods.xyz/ Many great mods have already been created. For modding tools see this blog: https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/
All my texture mods have already received a pack per theme:
(HRTC) High Resolution Textures for Cars https://www.nexusmods.com/needforspeedmostwanted2005/mods/20
i mean i never found those sites when I searched mods for nfs in 2012 after that nfs mw 2012 was a huge disappointment for me lol anyway thanks for replying and looking forward to your all in one pack btw if you can try to convince those modders to release their mods in nexus then it would be awesome but just a thought though

thanks for mod!
But I can't seem to get it to work. I replaced the Cars folder just like you said but there's old models still everywhere.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need modloader or something for this?
