I can't get this to work from step one, I'm prompted to enter my windows username which in the bluebottle forums you said was the name we type in when we open the start menu, but I've never needed to sign in to my computer, so I don't type out a windows user name. I've tried a few different names that it could be, and I've even changed what was "called" a windows user name in the control panel, but the program still can't recognize my answer.
Is there a step by step explanation I can follow to get the right name for this to work?
So apparently Nexus doesn't email me when comments happen. It's been like 6 months so I doubt it matters now. Your post is not clear as to what your issue was, but I assume it is related to your main save files.
Regardless, my app has does not have the power to delete your save files. If running and set up per the instructions it just makes backups saves of the files you tell it to. Then, if you tell it to, it restores those saves as your 'main' save. All I can think is that you told the app to restore from saves when it was not set up to make saves yet. That is the only instance I can think of where your main files would be unintentionally overwritten. That isn't a fault of the app. You should only tell the app to restore from one of your saves, if you have been having the app make saves. You can also always restore the saves manually from wherever you told the app to put your backup saves. You probably figured that out after posting this. If the app was told where to make backups, the backups are there.
Mainly responding in case anyone was wondering about it for their own game.
Once again, sorry nexus didn't tell me I had a comment, probably because the comment system is newer than this mod. (Comments vs discussion posts)
