I'm not sure why the weapon models work just fine but for some reason the armor doesn't. Or am I just crazy and this doesn't override the godawful full plate armor model the game uses?

      I'm afraid not.

The armor models are not override but custom assets you'd need to apply yourself via either making custom armors with the editor/toolset, exporting the blueprint, putting the blueprint into your override directory, and then adding them via console commands, or a mod that allows changing armor appearance, like you can in NWN1 with the "Craft Armor" -skill.

How to change the model a weapon is using? For example If I wanted for a greatsword to use a bastard sword model?

Downloading for an upcoming rerun of NWN2 after so many years. This is going to be in my override folder for just about forever now thanks to you.

Edit: I just realised you're the author who uploaded katana crafting for Skyrim SE :O That mods awesome dude.

May I ask how you edit the weapon models? I personally feel the rapiers are too long and wanna make it shorter, what tool shall I use, shall I edit the .dds or mdb file? Would be appreciated if you can give a short turtorial :)

I just use 3ds max with NWN MDB plugin:

      https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn2/other/tool/3ds-max-mdb-importerexporter

And if you don't have means to get "real" 3dsmax, you can always use Gmax (free stripped down version):

      https://www.turbosquid.com/gmax

As for editing 3d models, you don't have to know *everything*, just key features.

But making something shorter is easy. Once you get the Gmax running, just import the model you wanna modify, select it, and from the upper left portion, select "Modify" tab-button. Pick "vertex" and select all but the most bottom vertexes, right click, select "scale", and use the "Y -axis" of the scale function. THen right click and select move, and move the verticles if they are not aligning properly with the bottom most verticles. After that, you can use mesh smooth, if the mesh is too jagged etc. and then pick export and MDB format.

If you want to learn more, 3dsmax has really good tutorials. Here's one on mesh smoothing:

I like this. Like the other person said it "fits" with the original models, so things don't seem out of place.
