It wasn't, it was simply uploaded as an official project. It should be linked on the main PORR page though - kind of hard to find as it is unless you know it exists.
Just finished. Really great! I experienced no game-breaking bugs. If someone is hesitant: yes, you should definitely play it!
Some details I wish I could easily find on the mod description page/readme:
1. Conversational skills are used, so it's worth to invest in diplomacy/bluff/intimidate. The game also rewards you 50exp for a successful check (on top of whatever the check was for, eg. higher quest reward) 2. Crafting is available, however limited. There are no weapon molds (so no point investing in craft weapon) and there are only 3 armour molds available, and those in limited quantity as well (20 per type). There are only iron and later some mithral ingots available. 3. You can buy gems (and vendor resets each chapter) and magical workbench is available later in the game, so crafting wondrous items / crafting magical arms can be done, however there are only a handful of essences available, so it's rather limited. You're not going to equip everyone in +8 gear ;) 4. You'll be around level 10 at the end of the game (I managed lvl 11 right before the final Boss but I killed pretty much everything, including the auction square), so plan your build accordingly. 5. Alignment and deity are not used, so pick whatever you want. 6. Companions are: Fighter, Rogue/Ranger, Wizard, Paladin/Cleric, but some are only available for certain quests. You can also hire some adventurers to help you if you're having a hard time.
~~ possible spoilers ~~
Some nice things:
1. Rewards for conversational skills. 2. Hidden doors which require search checks, but usually placed close to some traps to suggest using search mode. 3. The resting system seems nice, although it could tell you that enemies are nearby before you build the fire. 4. The economy seems nicely balanced, at least if someone is burning money on gems for crafting, otherwise I don't see where to spend the money. 5. Almost no fights on the staircase or cramped corridor, except maybe for cleansing the temple. NWN2 has really bad pathfinding and collision detection, so such fights are rough because no-one can move. 6. "Hiring" NPCs to help you. 7. Reward and acknowledgement when you managed to not lose any of the assisting NPCs when storming the wizard's estate.
Some minor bugs I've noticed:
1. One of the main quests (clearing orc camp to the west) didn't get completed because I got intercepted by a Messenger and the clerk gave me another quest and never acknowledged the previous one. It didn't break or block anything, but I had a hanging quest in the journal. 2. As some other people mentioned, the thugs attack when you come back from the pirate bay and you have a fight mid-custscene. 3. The conversation checks in the Inn in auction square can be abused for infinite exp because you can use them multiple times. It probably should allow it only once. 4. There are 2 magical workbenches in the library but only the one on the left works! The other one doesn't! Don't get fooled. 5. The teleporting-maze does weird things if you're running, eg. doesn't always teleport you.
Some quality of life issues:
1. No fast-travel between the zones :( 2. Crafting benches are in random places, not necessarily next to some useful vendor. The worst is the magical workbench which is 2 zones away from the gem, essence and leather merchants. Essentially if you forgot to get enough leather hides you're spending next few minutes running back and forth... 3. The game will block you from going into certain zones at certain times, which means for example magical workbench might be not accessible.
Things that would have been nice:
1. Actually fighting the vampire the first time, and only playing the cutscene afterwards. It was rather anticlimactic that there was no fight at all. 2. Making the final fight harder. Honestly the giants or the mage+minions right before were harder than the Boss. To be fair I somehow expected he will take control of my party or at least charm them temporarily or something, given the hints the game is giving (with the staff and mind blank) but nothing like that happened.
Finally beat the whole Pool Of Radiance Remastered. Very entertaining through most of it, up till the end. That was a major let down. A 30 sec cut-scene and all of a sudden it's over. Felt rushed, ho-hummed and no sense of closure. Not satisfying at all.
SPOILER BELOW!!~~
Looked like there was an attempt at different endings based on the last choice that was never really fleshed out, because no matter what, it Ended the same way even if it wouldn't make sense. Also after the cut-scene, you're just stuck in the room. -_- Can't even leave.
Fun through the game: Great>great>good>wtf happened?
As nedlbin already pointed out, the story arc follows the novel, not the gold box. That said...the ending does allow for the export of the PC for use in other campaigns... So, not all bad.
I guess that a simple "return to town" option would have been nice. Once there you could sell loot, purchace stuff and such but at this point that would be a bit much work to add now.
Great module. However, I am stuck. On the last Kuto's Well section after I am left in charge of the defense I get a first wave of Orcs attacking. After defeating the Orcs however, I am stuck. Nothing happens.
I looked at the playthrough on Youtube and can see a Giant attacking. That doesn't happen to me. I already loaded a previous safe but exact same thing. Any ideas? Anything I could do with a console command perhaps?
Would be a shame to not finish the module this close to the end.
Ran into another game breaking bug. At the end of Stormy Bay, I returned to Phlan and was attacked by Thugs, went through the dialogue with Tiberus Nanther as the battle was going on and afterwards killled off the thugs but there is no update in my journal other than return Constancia to the boat (Which I already did).
Tiberius after the battle is wounded and just standing there and I go to talk to him and he goes into the cut scene and gives me the signet ring again after I choose the Diplomacy answer. I have about 4 rings now and the scene is not progressing and I don't have any older saves.
Anyone have a solution because the Council Hall is still locked and I am stuck at this point. Thanks!
**Only Solution was to reload an old Save**
Make sure you backup your saves and Save at the end of quest prior to transporting because you will run into Game-Breaking bugs otherwise and not have any recourse but to start the game over.. You are warned (And thank gods I did!)
I have a game breaking bug that I can't get past. After defeating all of the enemies at Zentil Keep and going back to the Ferryman, I am stuck there and the next act isn't triggered. Would appreciate anyone's ___istance with this.
Just finished my first play-through of this. It was awesome. I had a couple issues here and there, but nothing that wasn't easily resolved. I recommend keeping two saves. Use one at major points, and another as an intermittent save. This will keep you from hitting those game breaking bugs with no way around them expect having to restart from the beginning. Definitely worth a play-through if you have the time.
Game braking bug: When coming back from the Pirates of the Stormy Bay, there is an attack by thugs, interrupting the dialog with Nanther. This derails the quest line and I am stuck.
Edit: Work arround: Either talk real quick or revert to a former save and trigger the attack by the thugs and kill them all before leaving for the Pirates of the Stormy Bay.

I'm sorry for the ending but it's the classic ending of the novel. I was simply sticking to the canon material - what should I do?
