Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately still holds true as of 2022. They're considered different objects by the engine and thus are not detected by the Challenge :/
Just to clarify, that is super not why it doesn't work. (The snowglobes are all each exactly still the same, every one of them.) I can see why you made this guess, and it isn't that bad a guess, not at all, but as it stands you are confidently spreading misinfo.
The reason why this mod bricks the Kitsch Master challenge is because this mod dings the snowglobe script that vanilla fnv has -- which is there to handle the various snowglobe functions. Snowglobe Perks overwrites that script in order to add the functionality that gives the player the perks on pick-up.
However, TTW also overwrites this script with a version of its own so as to plant the code that allows Kitsch Master to function. If you also load this mod (snowglobe perks) that change will be yet again overwritten, which is why that specific TTW challenge no longer works
Now here's the good news. All y'all need do to fix this is to type this in the console whenever you pick up a snowglobe, thereby incrementing the count manually, and you'll be fine: IncrementScriptedChallenge TTWChallengeKitschMaster That's all, now git!
If anyone else is reading this, the snowglobe script is actually an ITM in this mod, it does nothing...
The functionality is all contained within this mods own quest/script. Run quick autoclean (or manually delete the vanilla script ITM) and presto, no conflict with TTW and the mod runs 100% exactly the same...
Nad how exactly realistic is that to be awarded with perks for collecting bobbleheads? How exactly does it make Snow Globes any different?...those are the questions you need to ask yourself...
I love the mod too! However, I have a similar problem with Silver1991, but for me it was slightly different. I went to get the Goodsprings Snowglobe and when I picked it up I got the perk twice as well. Is the perk supposed to be replaced with the other one depending on who you side with? I don't know if this affects the other snowglobes for now...
It's been a long, long time since I've logged on here but I've gotten to playing through New Vegas again and thought I'd check on my old mods while looking for new ones. I'm very pleased at how well this one was received, even for half a decade after the release of the game!
And no, still not going to do anything for the DLC Snowglobes. Even if I had time I'd have to re-teach myself GECK first as it's been such a long time.
