THIS WORKED FOR ME AFTER GETTING THE ERROR : FALLOUT NOT RUNNING
akkalat85 5 kudos381 posts The simple solution would be to download an older 4gb file that is compatible with the old fake fullscreen. A couple pages back Luke posted a link to an older version: http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip. Works fine with NV 1.4, 4gb, Fake Fullscreen, and NVSE 2b12. Start the game from fullscreen.exe and the rest should work.
Fallout_Fullscreen.exe is not working properly for me. When I launch the game, it acts like it still has borders, and although the .exe shows its loading animation, nothing changes. When I close out of the game, Fallout_Fullscreen.exe appears and tells me no Fallout game has been detected.
"SIMPLE YET VERY EASY" I couldn't get it to work so i just decided to use this ( http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30525996 ) same thing but works on more games as well, make sure your already in windows mode before starting every program, instructions included.
Or you can use WindowBorderlessGamings fake window 1.Easier 2.Detailed Instructions 3. More Trusted 4. Works on tons of games, also comes with a list of games that are supported plus more http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30525996
Downloading Binaries and Source Update 2 and overwriting the 4gbnv.exe and the 4gbnv_helper.dll fixed the "Fallout is not running" issue for me.
That breaks it for me, the Binaries and Source updates simply can't be run on my PC at all for some reason, when I double-click the 4gbnv.exe launcher, nothing happens at all, just my Windows Explorer minimizes, then sometimes after a while, it gives me the Fallout is not running by Buda error, sometimes it doesn't show the error.
This is extremely frustrating! I think it might be because of this god damned Windows 8 OS I have.... I wish I had Windows 7.
when i run the game, it runs fine. but whenever i switch windows (lets say to Mozilla Firefox, Nexus Mod Manager, etc.) the game crashes. any way to fix this problem?
I'm using a Fake Fullscreen icon on my desktop to launch Fallout New Vegas. It launches fine, it goes fullscreen after a few seconds, all working good. Steam in-game community even pops up. However, the community hub features in steam don't seem to realize what game I'm playing so everything comes up as AppID 0. Any way to fix this?
I dont understand how to run NVSE, 4GB NV, and this at the same time considering they are all executables. For example, if i launch 4gb NV, i wont have NVSE enabled nor will i have fake fullscreen enabled because they are enabled via their own .exes. So how the hell could I launch one instance of FalloutNV while including all the benefits of NVSE, 4GB NV, and Fake Fullscreen?????
