   There are mods that can make cause this and for some reason this is also an organic bug.

   this mod/bugfix is a few years old. does it still work? I am getting this bug now. seeing it is an old one you would think that this fix would be included into the unofficial patches. i'm gonna try it because first I believed it was Lunet mod, Which I adored. So I got rid of that mod and started a brand new game. Well I haven't even left goodsprings and BOOM!!! Again. ILMAO. It is Funny, But it is soooo Aggravating.

      Yes it still works. My head would explode when at Jacobstown or anywhere in Freeside. This mode saved my ass.

   This is the first time my head has just randomly exploded. This mod fixed my game save. Thank thank you thank you!!!

   Just curious, but could you list most of the events where someone's head explodes? The Dead Money DLC is one, but outside of that I'm not sure what other events trigger it.

      I don't have any of the DLC myself, but in the many playthroughs I have had the bug only appeared after I did the Brotherhood of Steel quest where they fit you with an exploding collar to prevent your escape. My "fix" is to remove the head explosion script from the collar itself.

   Thanks. Seems to have worked. This is a really frustrating bug that has plagued me for awhile. Thanks to you it's no longer a problem.

   I've gain that head explode bug after doing final quest of Old Blue World .. coulnt get out of MT my head just exploded and i died . tkz a lot this fixed right . endorsed

       BE GLAD YOU HAVEN'T!!! Seriously the most frustrating thing, imagine console players with this issue, with no fix!
