I would have liked if the developers had made a "Broken Steel" type DLC for New vegas, you know? I know about the mod CAGE, but I'd like to play in an aftermath based on how you played the main quest.
@TheAwesomeGuardian When your studio is running out of money and a giant publisher offers a contract for one of the biggest IPs in the industry you just say yes to whatever they ask and make the best of it. I'd say they did pretty amazing.
The lenghts to which fanboys will absolve Obsidian of any wrongdoing just to s#*! on Bethesda is astonishing. No, retards, Obsidian agreed to 18 months development time, they agreed to bonus payment conditions, and instead of properly fixing the mess they s#*! out, they released subpar DLCs first.
Just to make sure I’m reading the description right. As long as I haven’t fulfilled the requirements for the faction allegiance it’ll count as independent. As long as I haven’t killed House for a faction or done House always wins IV Ulysses will view me as independent correct?
This is a great idea, though I do wish there was a way to not fail the NCR and still get independent since I usually only betray them at the last possible moment.
It's so much fun to quietly sabotage the factions you work for and eventually get idolized by them by abusing certain mechanics - it's hilariousevery single time
Its kind of like real life, no? Many people like Winston Churchill are idolized by their people, but when you look at everything they've done, alot of it wasnt good
Genuinely moronic how this mod is required to get this DLC to properly work narratively. I've done hundreds of runs of this DLC and have literally NEVER heard the dialogue for House or Independent runs. You can be Idolized by both Strip and NCR/Legion and the game defaults to NCR/Legion since those 2 factions require much more points to reach Idolized status. I would normally be ecstatic to find more NV content I have never seen before, but this is such an amateurish oversight that I'm mad anyways.
Thanks for the mod, works perfectly. To anyone wondering in 2024, as long as you don't leave the first bunker you can safely download this mid-playthrough. I got to the first Ulysses convo, reloaded a quick save before the door that started the conversation, and downloaded this with no problems
Though I would be against having 'don't thread on the Bear' completed for this mod to be regarded as Independent. That's just my preference, I generally support NCR's efforts, because they tend to care for people (more or less) and I don't mess with them unless necessary. I also tend to betray them at the very last moment.
I will take a look at this mod, I hope I will find the parameter to adjust it to my needs.
"I also tend to betray them at the very last moment."
ded also same, it's so much fun becoming idolized by every faction (we don't talk about Primm or the Powder Goggles) whilst messing with them as much as the game will let you without breaking :>
It goes withhout saying that this mod is fundemantaly incomppatible with No Main Story Line Ultimatum since that mod disables Don't Tread on The Bear! and Beware the Wrath of Caesar! from activating
