I am currently on a major break, life has become insane and I dont have the time or mental willpower to make mods at this time. That does NOT mean I am gone forever or that my mods are dead/broken, it simply means I dont have the time right now. Modding is fun for me its a nice hobby, however it was becoming a job that I got nothing from for all the many hours I have to put into them. Its just to much for me at this time.
My permissions still stand, just because I am on break does NOT mean you can take my mods without permission.
If you have missing parts, invisible legs, ect, it is a well known problem with some ENB. I was told it was fixed with the later updates but perhaps not, or you might be using a older ENB.
To fix it: Change FixTransparencyBugs=true to FixTransparencyBugs=false in the enblocal.ini
I would like to say again, I am tired of all the requests for Vanilla versions. I do NOT use Vanilla bodies, I do NOT like them. I feel they are a inferior product compared to the many modder made bodies that are higher poly and higher res.
I do NOT use females, but I have made you all female versions. I do NOT use Breeze, but I have made you all Breeze versions. I have done enough and more then most modders are willing to do.
If you feel its so super easy to do and should take no time at all... Then please PM me and we can talk about YOU doing the work. Please remember the items need to include: 1. Pipboy compatibility 2. Blood decals 3. Clean and correctly named NiTriShape/NiTriStrips 4. Decent rigging
I will now no longer be commenting on any more requests for male or female vanilla versions, this should be more then enough of a answer.
This is in relation to a post I saw somewhere in here.
The only reason why I'm complaining abt this is, while yes the body mods are frustrating as hell to download (and kind of broken now, too) a lot of these body mods tend to look really out of place compared to the rest of the game for some people. Like...yes, the vanilla models look like shit...but at the same time so does the rest of the game, so it looks 'correct' I guess. Personally, I'm not the kind of person to download these texture/modeling mods for this reason, plus they make the game more unstable with my own experience. I'm sure a lot of people share the same opinion. And while yes, people should just "learn" how to mod it properly, a lot of us are very new to modding and don't even know where to start and could really mess everything up as a result. It doesn't help that most of these body model installation instructions are vague as f*#@, too.
I would love to see a vanilla model update sometime in the future if you could. I'll try out jokerine's mod to see if it works better. If you're able to add it in, I would be incredibly grateful. Your mod looks really cool and I would love to use it, but I just cant stand the requirement for body mods.
What are you talking about? It is easy as hell to download body mods and some of them are an upgrade and do not look out of place at all. Roberts Breeze for example is a staple. If you think that they are frustrating to download maybe go learn the basics of modding and if you have no patience then modding is not for you sorry.
can u give me a hand then i cant get the body mods to work, i did the archive invalidation, but i have a green bar on my chest and legs and my body looks really patchy. like if two bodies were in one.
I haven't seen any reports on a green bar on a body, but I have seen reports of black areas. I'm not experienced with modding FNV so I'm limited in the help I can give but you can take a look and this guide and see if it helps.
My understanding of the archive invalidation thing is that Bethesda gave the same names to multiple textures in their games. For example, there will be a pair of vanilla boots and the name of its texture will be something like "boots.dds." Then there will be another pair of vanilla boots and its texture will be named "boots.dds." Then there will be YET ANOTHER pair of vanilla boots and its texture will be named "boots.dds," and so on. Someone will make a texture replacer for a pair of vanilla boots and name the texture "boots.dds" and the game will go, 'WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SUPPOSED TO REPLACE THERE ARE TEN THOUSAND "BOOTS.DDS" FILES HERE." Archive invalidation gives the texture replacer a unique name so that the game doesn't have a stroke.
Archive invalidation is ONLY necessary for texture replacers. New, unique, meshes already have unique texture names.
I'm no expert but the mesh from type4 mods mesh is different compared to type3 and type6, but it doesn't mean it won't work it just might look a bit wonky.
It should work fine, all the different type bodies: 3, 4, 6m, all use the same texture mapping so any texure made for any type body works on any other, I think BnB even works this way, the shape might be a little off when compared to other clothes but all the textures should apply fine.
I'm not an expert in Bethesda modding either but I'm 99% sure that the head and hands line up just fine with any of the Type bodies. In other words, the shape of each Type body is different but the seams in the neck and wrists were not changed. Here's an example of a mesh edge not matching up with another mesh.
I'm not going to be a lot of help since I'm still new to this game, but what I'm finding via Google is that you could be using problematic mods—lots of people are having issues with Fallout Character Overhaul—you could have an issue with archive invalidation (How it's handled depends on your mod manager. People are saying Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organizer 2 are best.), Or it could be a problem with your load order. You can use LOOT for help though it's not always 100% accurate. However, I have never not even once had problems with LOOT. Or your problem could be all of the above. Some people are saying they had to re-install their body replacers.
TL;DR The answer? Not really. There are too many things to consider—animating a mesh is a complicated process—and fixing one problem could easily introduce a new problem.

Here's a (somewhat) technical explanation:
First, the mod author isn't working on this mod anymore so you won't get help there.
There are only three things that can be done to reduce clipping. 1) Adjust the weight paint (weight paint is needed to animate a mesh) using Blender or some other 3D modeling software. BUT, you can't really refine weight paint unless you increase the polycount of the mesh because it's the vertices that are painted. Fewer vertices means rougher weight paint. BUT, increase the polycount and you get performance issues with the game. 2) Load the mesh in Blender (or some other 3D modeling software) and move the part of the mesh that clips farther away from the armor. BUT, you will still see clipping in some "extreme" animations because of the weight paint, which requires an increased polycount to fix, which could affect performance. See the dilemma? The only TRUE solution is to delete the part of the mesh that's clipping through the poncho. Obviously that wouldn't be a good solution. You can take off the poncho and leave the armor on, right? (I honestly don't know at this point. Haven't played the game much) Remove the poncho and you'd have a hole in the mesh.
So, yeah. The answer is not really. Solving one problem will create new problems.
No, you don't need the body mod. Although, looking at many of the meshes, most of them contain the entire body except the hands and the heads. A couple have no forearm on the left arm. I'm new to modding FNV so I can't say this for sure but I think if you used this mod without the recommended bodies there may be a mismatch with the hands and/or the left forearm. You may see a seam or even a gap. Not game-breaking but visually...not good.
Breeze can be downloaded using Vortex. Download it manually from Nexus, then go to your mods in Vortex and at the top left it should say "Install From File". Click that, and then click Breezes mod that you manually installed, and voila, it will begin installing.
https://www.reddit.com/r/fnv/comments/7scqyj/spice_of_life_for_vanilla_bodies_patch/ in case anyone still wondering, i hate when people talk about a patch without linking
To anyone that dont want to download this mod because it requires body mods, go spend a day or to to learn how to mod the game before crying to mod authors asking for s#*! you dont deserve. If you dont want to spend time to learn how to mod stick to vanilla
oh im so sorry, there are some people who are new to modding that need help, it's not like there's a YouTube tutorial for every mod. but I for one could use a hand. if you think i don't deserve someone that can teach others how modding works then you must want people like me to stay ignorant to such information.
in other words, how do you expect people to learn if most are unwilling to teach... to each their own i guess...
I'm kinda hoping someone comes along and picks a mod like this back up, we're so far ahead now that it could use a few updates, especially where female body replacers are concerned.

I downloaded Roberts, Breeze, and Type3/flipped archive inv on and off/tried downloading the patch etc.
Nothing works, please help.
