Sorry for my rambling, probably hard to understand request for help. I actually managed to fix the problem! : ) So I am editing to delete that part of the post.
I think I should include how I accidentally *created* the problem, in case it is not well known... I crafted the Armored Vault 21 Suit (I think that's what it was), which required the vault suit I was wearing, which 'embedded' the suit's bonus on my character, apparently... not realizing I had done this, I was excited to see I was then able to craft a different armored vault suit that had gloves!... thus embedding the effect from the first, glove-less armored suit onto my character...
So apparently crafting something that needs something you are wearing and has an active effect will make the effect 'stick' to you. You guys probably already knew all this, but just in case... : )
I'm a bit rusty when it comes to modding FNV, and I did have one hitch getting this to work.
I tried the FOMOD install method in the description by add fomod > select zip, but this crashed FOMM. I just did it the way I remembered by creating fomod selecting the zip and unpacking the loose files into the right pane. It worked and the script ran its course. It just didn't enable any of the plugins. I enabled them manually and everything is working fine.
Still get the duplicate entries message in-game though. Never managed to rectify that. Thanks for this mod. I am so thankful that this includes the ability to make trading harsher. Much appreciated and endorsed.

This is a tiny nit pick issue on an otherwise amazing mod. The Ratslayer doesn't have the nightvision effect anymore, I know this is small but is there anyway I can fix this?
