Thismode is probably not what you have expected to be and is neither what we, as its creators, would have expected to be, when we had started to work on it many years ago. It is rather about demo version containing bases of all game elements typical for the original Fallout game, which we all like so much, than about a completed unit. Unfortunately, today we have reached the point, where no further progress with the development is possible. For that reason we decided to publish everything we have managed to collect by now, because it cost us a lot of effort and because a strong group of fans, who we pay tribute to, has been formed around the mode.
The mode contains incompleted locations, quests, so if you encounter a “bug”, simply reconcile yourself to it and go on. You will be rewarded with V13 Shady Sands, V 15 Junktown and The Hub with their characteristic architecture and monuments in 3D rendering.
I know this mod is pretty much abandoned, but you know what would be cool to do? Instead of using this engine to remake Fallout 1, someone could just try to add the main quest of Fallout 1 to Fallout New Vegas as a side quest. Imagine adding a modern version of shady sands to the game, adding vault 13 and vault 15, and then re-imagining the other quests using the Fallout New Vegas map to make us fight The Master at some point in the end of the quest. Maybe the mod could be called something like Fallout Reborn, Tales of Vault 13, or something like that. (The quest could start by finding the recently deceased body of the Vault Dweller or maybe we could just find the Vault Dweller asking for help finding a water chip and then we get him as a companion during the quest the game doesn't need to be 100% remade on New Vegas It could be a shorter version of Fallout 1's quest taking place on the Mojave)
It is abandoned, the devs have not responded for a long time, but this mod is very loved, if you can, do it, don't worry about permissions and if you manage to make this mod necessary to install your version, the better, so people will know the original , so as long as you make it clear that it is a continuation and give credit to the original, everything is fine.
Hey There, I Sadly Heard The Team is Reach The No further progress On the development. As A Modder I Want To Revive This Amazing Remake Mod By My self, I Already Did Some Progress By The Way(Shandy Shands Generic Dialouges, Aradesh's Wife Meal Dialogue And Connecting The Raiders Base Interior in one day). But You Didin't Allowed The Permission To Modify The File ):, Can I Modify Your File By Your Permission?
Your doing a great thing to revive this mod, I really wanna play fallout 1 in 1st person in its entirety and if you get permissions, the mod might actually get done, so I say go ahead!
Keep me updated! I hope you can have the greenlight to do more with this mod and upload something like the frontier or NC, where It's an open wasteland and is more immersive...
Hey Man this is great! I've had the idea of Remaking Fallout 1 for ages. Problem is I dont have the mod experience. BUT I do have some Ideas. I'd love to help you with this. I've been thinking of Redesigning Fallout 1 to make it fit the setting more. Take the Gun Runners for example, the area they control is called "The Fortress" but it's just a warehouse (Surrounded by Glowing Goo yes but still a warehouse). If you have a discord server or something then I'd love to get into contact with you. Thanks.
Just my two cents (for whatever they're worth...) Recreating the game down to the 'T' would be a such a huge time sink that you will likely get bored or burned out and give up after some time. What I personally think would be best is if you just added the world and the interiors and called it good. After that, if you still felt up to it, you could add quests and 'nice-to-haves' and push them out later (this CERTAINLY includes models, animations, and textures, as these are often the most time expensive resources to create).
In a nutshell, don't worry about getting every detail down perfectly, just do what's important. Better to release something good and done than something ambitious and incomplete!
Side note: Feel free to use some or all of my resources available for Mariposa Military Base in the final version of this mod!
Its been 2 years, it wouldn't surprise me if this revival was short lived, considering interest in this mod is still quite low. If you did make any further progress, I would recommend you upload your current version of the revival of this mod so that youtubers like Knight Raven, Schizo and Chad No Bark (the smaller Fallout meme channels) can make videos about it if you ask them to.
love this mod but wish you guys just made it to where you have to walk and fast travel like noraml instead of making it like fallout 1, alot of that scripting isnt needed and u guys couldve got more done if you just focused on the story and loctions and the landscape
try xnvse instead if you don't have it installed already https://github.com/xNVSE/NVSE/releases although i'm not sure if it'll work but it wouldn't hurt since xnvse is required by plenty of mods anyways

I've made some edits to the game world and wish to continue development
