We're aware with the weapon mod crash issues but have been unable to find any reason for them. What does seem to fix them is simply using Pelinor's awesome weapon mod menu which you can get here.
+++DESCRIPTION+++
This mod adds in an AK-47 into the game along with three modifications for it - a silencer, a Kobra red dot, and a 100 round hilari-mag. It comes with unique static and sound entries (with custom sounds as well!), as well as having it added to the appropriate weapon, repair, vendor, and leveled lists.
A placeholder icon has been made for a potential custom icon by T3T if he makes one, so we can release a small download later to replace it rather than release a whole new update for it.
It can be found on Doc Mitchell's operating stand.

Copy/extract the archive into your Data folder and check the esp off in your data loader.
